Is there a way to download PPP Widget without using the play store?

I downloaded the APK - tried to install it - and then it said it needs to be downloaded from the Play Store - catch 22 - I can't do that without installing it. (wifi doesnt connect)

There is only one loop for all services now, last should be brightness control, second to last Poweramp.
Code got a little bit scrambled, but I'm sure @devilsoft will figure it out.

P.S. Don't forget about having the latest Busybox app - or at least binary - installed, if you want the brightness control algorithm to work.

Still trying to map here maps to external sd. How would I word this line if my maps are located as below.
lsd "/mnt/internal_sd/tomtom" "com.tomtom." /mnt/external_sd*/*/ /mnt/usb_storage*/*/

My maps are in /mnt/internal_sd/android/data/com.here.app.maps/
another directory is /mnt/internal_sd/.here-maps/

Thanks

And if I run dmesg a minute or two later - there's no sign of removal.

With PPP Widget 2 - it says no modem....

It appears your 3G stick is in storage mode. Most of those sticks are dual-mode, and contain either a small nand flash area that contains the drivers (if plugged into Windows), or they have a microsd reader built into them. Either way, usb_modeswitch likely doesn't support that model (or the config needs tweaking), otherwise it would have tried to take it out of storage mode.

I'm not sure if you can change the modeswitch.conf on these devices, but if you can, there's a post that might help you out here.

I'll have a look - but why does it work on the majority of other roms?

I cut the internal microphone + signal, so that an external microphone works normally

additionally I purchased a new external microphone , now bt call quality is great

new microphone:

I have a KGL unit and as most people, the internal microphone was horrendous. I didn't cut anything inside, I just added an external microphone and according to people I call, it sounds good.

Here is the microphone I purchased from Amazon.com for reference. Click to see Microphone.

Managed to get the update from malaysk working, thanks all who helped.

Just a couple of things I need to know how to solve:

The audio volume increasing when you speed up, how do I disable this?

The default audio player, has anyone got any recommendations for decent ones?

I keep trying to change the timing for shutting down from 5 mins to an hour, but each time I turn the engine off, this resets.

Thanks,
John

Look at this site: http://www.erisin.com/

no taxes if you buy from wherhouse UK or Germany. I buy from this site Erisin 9401A and no issue. All fine. Delivery after 5 days, and good prices.
