The way back machine has it archived.

And the download site appears to still have the fikes, you just have to copy the URL and go to the site instead of the archive.

I have several files saved on Mega (philz, CWM, and more stuff), but would need to search threads to see what they are and how to use them.

Someone would mind to give me a hand to accomplish the rooting. I just followed the video instructions, but after to restart to recovery there is no CMW for my surprise, I get the Android system recovery. Any hint what to do? As you can see I'm a little newbie.

Odin result:

ERR found the solution, it is very simple, read bellow:

From the old site I linked:

Q: I don’t see ClockworkMod Recovery when I enter recovery, I see stock Android recovery.
A: With newer software updates, you may be encountering this error because it will overwrite ClockworkMod Recovery upon reboot. *To get around this, simply boot into ClockworkMod Recovery right after flashing in ODIN. *You can set auto-reboot off in ODIN then when done, just hold down Power and Volume Down straight to bootloader menu

Yeah, I managed to get it working, thanks. My problem now is that "adb reboot bootloader" just boots normally and if I try boot to bootloader holding power + vol - buttons it doesn't accept any fastboot/adb command there. I need to install TWRP.

Yeh, I don't think that CWM supports ADB (not sure any version does, it's been a long time).

But for sure get TWRP.

Interesting, in this case how to flash TWRP? o.0

>adb devices
List of devices attached
4107b2a8005f7f67 device

>adb bot bootloader
adb: usage: unknown command bot

>adb reboot bootloader
(just boots normally to Android)

>adb reboot recovery
(CWM recovery GUI, can't flash TWRP from there, right? it is a .img file)

>fastboot command doesn't work at all, stuck in "waiting for any device"

Oh, problem solved. I just converted TWRP .img to .tar and used Odin software to flash it.

I'm folowing all the steps, watched the video, doing everything like in video.

    Please Help

I've been facing this problem myself this week. I found another post about this issue, and followed it, though I can't find it again. But here are the steps
    1. Before you flash the recovery, uncheck "Auto Reboot" in Odin (or use the --no-reboot switch for heimdall).
    2. Once it's done flashing, reboot straight into recovery by holding the volume up (farthest from power) and the power button (all while the "download" screen is still up).
    3. Release the power button when the splash screen comes up, but continue holding the volume button.
    4. Release the volume button once the recovery comes up.
I was told that when rebooting after from the first installation using Odin, the tablet recovers the stock recovery (overwriting the custom recovery).

This was very frustrating for me before I came across that post. I think I installed CMW or TWRP a total of 10 times before I found the fix.

I was successful in rooting the 10.1 (N8013), But i've noticed that when i use the CWM recovery, i have actually purchased a premium app to show support. When i reboots it goes into the android recovery. So with your initial instructions i did the CWM recovery mode from odin and reboot manually. So now if i want to do custom rom flashed i have to do it though odin as well? Can i use GOO app or the CWM paid app?

Much appreciate you input, i will be ever so great ful.

    Sincerely,

Just follow the below steps :

if you are still getting the stock recovery 3e follow these steps :

    1. When flashing CWM through odin untick the "Auto Reboot" option within Odin.
    2. Flash CWM.
    3. When done , press power & volume up ( the one apart from power button ) until the Samsung logo appears, then leave both buttons.
    4. CWM will appear.
    5. Choose "Reboot System now "
    6. You will get a new screen with an option mentioning something like " disable flash recovery , press it & reboot.
    7. Now if you get back to pressing power & volume up you will have a permanent CWM.

Then you can install root through CWM.:)

For development, I need both so I can testing everything, I don't want to see people bricking their $500-600 tablets because I didn't test it first.
