Amazing rom, and really fast for such limited device. Makes me wanna have a modern version of the desire with same small dimensions and design. Only having some minor problems with quicksettings after reboot from a2sd (with dalvik) first reboot could not open, second reboot also icon gone. wallpaper also changed from black to the standard one (or does battery saver do that?). next reboot also quicksettings icon gone. A'm I doing something wrong, and he to get it back? edit: also wallpaper changer not accesible

This was the only KitKat ROM I could get to install on my Bravo - thanks!

The only issue I've noticed so far is the Internet Browser won't open - when I try to launch it I see it trying to open, then immediately closes with no error message. I'm running stock hboot, and have a 2Gb SD card with a 1Gb EXT4 partition (and a22d enabled). Has anyone else had/fixed this problem?

Wow, THANKS! :good: :good: :good:
Will try it to see if the ROM has better performances than Evervolv 4.4.4.
BTW, Textra app has a built-in Stagefright patch.

I have added the most recent Stagefright 2.0 and Android Security Updates from November 2015.

Patching has no end ;)

That Stock Internet Browser works really stable in the new ROM version.

I think that this ROM offers a nice compromise between speed and battery life. On pure standby it has survived for 4 days!

How's things for you?

Warning! The processor is overclocked.

Despite the spectacular benefits, I recommend to enable maximum operating frequency of 998400 Hz CPU in Kernel Tweaker:
=> Settings
=> LuiquidSmooth
=> Performance
=> (Drag the screen from the left edge)
=> CPU Parameters
=> CPU Max Frequency (select 998400 from a list when you click + confirm by checking the circle).

By default, the kernel works even with 1113600 Hz!

More than once occurred to me that something has suspended the smartphone and I was forced to quickly remove the battery in order not to cause detachment chipsets.

I'm on a partition stock.
So far no work in any network (WiFi, GSM), the system performs really decent.
As he mentioned Spezi, the battery is not heavily consumed.

The default setting necessitates a longer touching. Nowhere I did not find the option to increase the sensitivity of touch.
Does anyone know how?

On the LiquidSmooth v3.2 Full lists of features is written: Hardware Button configuration, but in this ROM can only configure the key "search".
What about the rest of keys?

Hi Spezi!
How do I set the max GPU Frequency?
Now, when I will choose:
=> Settings
=> LuiquidSmooth
=> Performance
=> (Drag the screen from the left edge)
=> GPU Parameters
=> GPU Max Frequency

I get the message:

error while reading frequencies. Please reload this page

When I check cirkle, I receive another message:

Unfortunately, Kernel Tweaker has stopped.

Hi ze7zez,

I think that certain settings, e.g GPU frequency, cannot be tweaked for HTC desire. That could explain why kernel tweaker has crashed.

How's everything else? A2SD with internal nand memory should make the desire feel pretty fast..! ;)

Cheers!

Initially I had one, but I managed tot get it accepted by the recovery.
Now i have another one with the gapps. It claims that the google systems are not accessible, although i can login wth the browser. Any idea ? Are there other gapps I can test ?

You should use the gapps in this thread as the installation procedure is perfectly aligned with the partition layout used in this ROM.

I have tested the gapps. I wonder what could have went wrong on your end. Please share more details, maybe a recovery log and a screenshot..

Cheers ;)

I have an Alpharev hboot 270/162/5. So sufficient space on the system. I configured an SD-Ext partition of 4GB on my 32GB SD card ( class 10) - brand new one.
Recovery 4EXT v1.0.0.5 rc9. I wiped everything. Installed LS rom. rebooted. opened terminal, su, a2sd install y y, rebooted, installed the gapps with success.
upon reboot, i see the play. But it claims no connectivity to google servers... bizarre. any idea ?

Hum i see. I have no idea what it could be. I don't test my work with different setup as u did. You could share a full logcat. Maybe that could be useful for someone to detect any possible issue.

However, I strongly recommend to install the ROM as advised. If you move app data to SD-ext you won't be able to benefit from increased performance that is provided by running app data from nand.

Amazing work! Very impressed with this - works really well.

Quick question though - the GApps package that you suggested didn't actually work for me. I have the Google Play Store but when I try to open it, I get a 'problem communicating with Google servers'. And the Calendar app gives me the 'won't run without Google Play services, which are missing' message. Any ideas?! Do I just need to try reinstalling the GApps a few times?

Maybe there was a problem with Insufficient space and sth is missing. Please repeat the installation of Gapps. Then copy the recovery.log and share it here.

Maybe the current Google Play Store is too large application for our smartphone.
I installed gapps, then I uninstalled everything except Store.

A good idea is to install the old version and find a way to Google Play Store does not update automatically.

For example, so it is on SlimKAT ROM i9001.
After installing the ROM, even after a year, Google Play Store is still the same version!

What do you think spezi77?
Do you have a way to block the upgrade Play as was done in the i9001 SlimKAT sources?
