Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
My experience was

Install nAa Kernel 08
In CWM...
Factory reset
Format system, data, cache, sd-ext
Install MiniCM + gApps
Factory reset
Reboot
Wait several minutes
Setup phone
Install TitaniumBackup
Install Zeam Launcher
Reinstall some user apps (not system apps and definitely not Wifi settings)
Got a reboot during reinstall
Noticed Market and most of my user apps had disappeared and that I was in ADW Launcher!
Market icon in ADW Launcher home screen did not work
Market did not come up in list of installed apps
Rebooted into CWM and reinstalled gApps
Now Zeam Launcher reappeared and Market worked again
Reinstall more user apps with TitaniumBackup and got same reboot/loss of Zeam+Market

Decided to bite the bullet and completely wiped everything again
This time I did not restore anything from my old TitaniumBackup but reloaded from the Market
Everything seems OK
Made Nandroid backup in CWM before I mess with installing Angry Birds from Market and restore my data from TitaniumBackup

Otherwise most things seem good. Just got iPlayer working (UK user) finally (found a flash and iplayer apk online).

Video is stuck at 29.xxx fps and would like to set it to 25fps to make conversion to PAL videos/DVDs easier. Video did lag though.

Has anyone else had problems with TitaniumBackup restores?
Darren

miniCM7 miniFAQ also for miniPRO

Dear miniPRO users, since nAa supports your device with miniCM7 and nAa kernel, i decided to make the miniFAQ also supporting it,
happy new year to all :)

Read Before Asking Please

FAQ for MiniCM7, nAa kernel, FXP (should be added soon) and any other custom rom maybe ;)
reading may answer to lots of your questions !

for X10mini, X8 & x10miniPRO

  • since people do not pay attention at this FAQ linked in miniCM7 first post,
[*]i decided to create a new thread dedicated to Q&A about miniCM7 and nAa's kernel ;)
  • this thread is the place of your questions, answers, tips about nAa's kernel and miniCM7 by nAa
  • so please, as usual, read FAQ, use search option or anything else before asking commonly answered questions ;)
  • the FAQ will be incremented when needed :)
  • the Q&A are in random order :p

before all the Q&A below : one is most important :
in order to install miniCM7 2.1.X you NOW need :
- to read this upgrade guide
- to read that post
- to unlock your bootloader (see also here)
- to flash nAa's kernel for X10mini, for X8, for x10miniPRO

the first objective is to make the FAQ fully compatible with your device :)
so please help in correcting/updating questions and answers ;)

>>> the FAQ <<<

Everything works as expected. i have nearly 60 apps and there is no fc or slips or any slowness. have 60mb-80mb ram available.
Please post what do the cpu governers do in the first post. i dont understand smartass and interactive etc. what are the difference and what is your goal in including them?
Also cpu speeds go to default. they dont stay the way i set it. im using naa's kernel and everything is fine. but need more info.

Hi matmutant,

Thanks for your work. Your FAQ is, as always, really clean and usefull. ;)
Happy new year !

Carpe-Dimi, I'm agree with you. This keyboard fix doesn't do anything.
But keyboard light doesn't works efficiently anyway (I already changed Keyboard values in cyanogenmod settings). Sometimes it works like a charm, other times it doesn't works anymore (I tried it in a complete dark place).

i just can't know everything :p ^^
Very disappointed in you now ;(
Heehee, many thanks for the awesome faq :)

I do find that if the kb lights don't work, sliding the keyboard in, then holding the phone against a light source and sliding the keyboard out again makes it work like it should. but this has been a problem in all other roms as well

Just made the jump from Flame.GDX/ZP. You guys were right about the speed of this ROM!

Antutu Benchmark gives me a score of 1793 vs 1607 on Flame.GDX.

Just hoping a couple of battery re-calibrations will sort out my rapidly decreasing battery level!

Wifi's buggy for some reason. It connects at first, but later it loses the ip=address and rescans and gets connected for some seconds before it re-loses it AGAIN.
Might be due to automemory manager set to highly agressive levels, im not sure.

One recalibration and two full recharges did wonders for my battery. 28 hours since my last charge and now at 65%. This is with a couple of hours with wifi, some calls and a few text messages. Best rom I've tried, by far. Rock stable.

The screen don't work at all. The end of the left side don't work. We can see it when we open the keyboard and slide the "toolbar" (I have no idea how it's caled in English:]) down. Then when I tried to move up the bar, I realised that it doesn't work:/
Sry for my English;]

for me, instead of the light source trick, toggling on and off autobrightness in settings - display also fixes the keyboard light

I have my settings set as 255, 255, 255, 255, 0 and although the keyboard lights work it's not nearly sensitive enough for me. I'd like the k/b lights to come on earlier, is there a way to increase the sensitivity to do this?

No it's not, it's still a WIP (WorkInProgress)
Also, nAa said that you should all report bugs in Bug Tracker. The bugs reported here are barely seen by him.

Sorry, are you saying it's not the light sensor that's the issue, or are you agreeing that the sensor isn't working properly?

I'll look at the Bug Tracker when I'm next on my PC (currently lying in bed messing about on the phone! :) )

Hi everybody.
I am using this rom and no problem with it.. is very fast, and i like it. But today I saw something, I don know if someone else is having the same issue. When I connect my phone to the PC and starts PC Companion, it recognizes like just X10, not X10 mini pro like it has to be i think... I remember wehen I connected my phone before unlocking the bootloader, Pc companion Said Connected to X10 Mini Pro, now it says Connected to X10...
I dont know if it is normal, or it just happen to me, if this is good, or this is bad...
Someone who knows about this...!

Thx!

    Requirements:

    • Instructions:
      • Download the MiniCM7-xxx.zip from the release link that follows
      • Backup your /data contents: contacts, apps, sms, etc. or backup via recovery
      • Move the MiniCM7-xxx.zip to the root folder of your sdcard. Download the suggested Google Apps for CM7 from here (check http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ if you want to experiment with other gapps versions)
      • Unlock your bootloader, if you haven't already. Check http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1254225 for a nice tutorial
      • Flash the nAa kernel using Flashtool. To to this:

        - Once done, disconnect the usb cable and power on the phone.
      • Once the logo appears, press the back button repeatedly to enter CWM.
        - Select 'backup and restore -> Backup'
        - Select 'wipe data/factory reset' (RECOMMENDED)
        - Flash the MiniCM7-xxx.zip. To do this, Select 'install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard' and select the MiniCM7-xxx.zip
        - Flash gapps
      • Reboot (first boot will take ~2 mins)
      • Once your device has booted, you can navigate to CM Settings -> System -> Update notifications and select 'Register'. This way you can get update notifications on new versions of MiniCM7!
Please make sure you followed the above steps before reporting any issues, especially 'wipe data/factory reset'

Notification bar bug on landscape mod fix

YOU HAVE TO DO THIS MANUALLY

first extract the zip and then
just put these 3 files in /system/lib and set the permission 644 (if you dont know what is 644 see any other .so file permission in the same folder and set the same)
now you are all set just reboot the device
