Okay, that's the problem I'm afraid.I'm using liamstears theme an no-sense. I think i will stick to the stock since I don't want to risk installing everything again.
The autobrightness mod includes changes to the framework-res.apk file. It works fine without a theme, but if you have a theme it won't work properly.
If your theme doesn't include the notification bar power controls, the brightness mod will simply reset some of your theme graphics to stock. If the theme does include the power controls, the brightness mod will cause bootloops. This is because the autobrightness mod is missing some of the files needed by the power controls.
(It works fine with no-Sense on stock theme though.)
Sorry, I mentioned when I posted the mod it wouldn't work with themes. It's also a very good idea to do a backup before flashing any mod, so you can go back if it doesn't work. Sorry you had to reinstall everything!
I'll have to look into whether the autobrightness settings can be changed using Metamorph, so it can work with any theme.
(Edit: Not going to be possible, as arrays.xml with the autobrightness settings is compressed into resources.arsc.)
For now, I've got a flashable zip that contains the power controls and the medium autobrightness settings, but with the stock theme. I'll update this post when it's finished testing.
Mike, might be worth grouping any mods that use the stock framework-res.apk into a section that says "won't work with themes"? And a reminder to do a nandroid backup before flashing any mod?
