gps locking problem and low ram. due to installed apps

hello friends i am facing problem in gps locking while trying to navigate. it worked yesterday after taking around 6 to 10 mins but now again it is taking lots of time in locking the navigation while gps location workes flawlessly can any one tell me the setting to solve the issue.

Low GPU score in Antutu Benchmark (Reason explained.)

I think i find the reason for Less GPU score in Antutu..

It is because of "Screen Refresh rate" in A110 - 30 Hz refresh rate..
So benchmark tools fps cannot easily pass 30fps scale..
While in karbonn A21 and A90s refresh rate is 60+. so greater GPU score as fps can move above 30 frames..

But in Nenamark both device are having almost have score as they both cannaot pass 30fps in nenamark....

Hi there

Try changing the screen refresh rate to 60 using mobile uncle MTK tools software. I believe it has option a lot of system options. Some of the options can have an adverse impact so do it at your own risk. The gpu score might come out to be better after the change

P.S: doesn't matter what rating the tools give your device... What matters is how u rate it

Do u try this software??
I m happy with 30fps as its is enough to play games smoothly.

When stock rom and recovery will be avaialbale then i will try all this tools..

U was rooting the phone with the above method, now live wallpapers force close, phone does not vibrate on touching capacitive key !

What to do guys, please help I am sad, I don't want to factory reset or go to service center

What are its technical specs? I mean what are the model nos of the gpu,cpu etc?

Guys, just bought it and its awesome!!! by the way i can try to port the CWM on this device!! just need the stock recovery.img!!!

By the way any chances i can pull the stock rom on the emmc partitions myself??!

For quite sometime now we have been trying hard to pull out the Stock Romdump, not only in A110, but also in Karbonn A21 but have not succeeded. There are many who can and are ready to develop a CWM Recovery for our phone, only if the 'stock recovery.img' is made available!!

It has a dual core Cortex A9, 512MB RAM and a Power VR SGX531T GPU.

I think thats a bad idea, on some phones(like my optimus one) when you boot into stock recovery it factory resets the phone !!

is there any method to compile/port any recovery like twrp or cwm etc ??

For that you need to know more about the recovery. Compiling wont be tough once you all have a source(which micromax denied to release).
Also, while searching for combinations keep in mind that a phone can get hard brick using that! I am not kidding! I had a tablet months ago which got bricked while searching for combinations, the combination I tried broke the internal circuit or it was some voltage disconnecter.

This should give you an output like:

mtd2: 00280000 00020000 "boot"
mtd3: 04380000 00020000 "system"

Now, check for the "recovery partition" , that is which "mtd" it's on. Here it's on mtd1, it might be different for your phone. With that info type in the terminal emulator(You should have your sdcard inserted before proceeding):

# cat /dev/mtd/mtd1(OR whichever mtd YOUR "recovery" is on) > /sdcard/recovery.img

Now upload that file at some file hosting service, preferably mediafire, and give me the link to it.

I own this device and it does not have a qualcomm chipset or mtd partitions, it is mediatek mtk 6577, and uses emmc partitions (i think your previous recovery making expertise is on those chipsets)....cat /proc/emmc gives a list of partitions, but doesnt have a recovery partition label...

M also a developer and have ported cwm for mediatek and qualcomm, it is nice to have another dev here by the way

Thanks for the software. It works fine and I was able to extract the partitioning details. I am sending it to you by email as I do not have the permission to post images. Please post it on the forum so that the group can work on creating the recovery image.

how to install bigger games like NFS Most Wanted/The Dark Knight Rises????/

As the title states .....how can i install games above 2gb cuz internal sd is 2gb itself........is there any way to swap the internal sd to external sd!!????????? like in Galaxy R......and thkz to the developers for rooting A110!!!

Recovery and Boot Partition extraction command

Hi Guys,

subsequent to getting the scatter information from MTK Tools below,

{Scatter Info from MTK
Name Scatter Size Device
Bootimg 00f88000 00600000 mmcblk0
Recovery 01588000 00600000 mmcblk0
)

i converted the scatter and size to equivalent 1KB blocks and tried creating the boot and recovery images using below commands

0x00f88000 = 15904KB
0x01588000 = 22048KB
0x00600000 = 6144KB

Commands:

dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/boot.img bs=1024 count=6144 skip=15904

dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/recovery.img bs=1024 count=6144 skip=22048

by doing this i am able to generate two files of 6MB each.

Can anyone confirm if the above process is correct. Also can someone guide on how to open these img files

I've already tried many "apk + SD Data" available out there ..... still no success (EA screen comes and game crashes)

I m playing NFS most wanted.. Awesome graphics and gameplay..

Cops are ruthless..

U need active net connection to play this game.
And to install game u need 1.9 GB of free space in internal sd.
