Before I send it back to the manufacturer for repair I'd like to hear your opinion on this.
I've had this KingZone i8750 mtk6589 phablet for 4 months now and never abused it. In search of some compatible rom with usb otg support I must have flashed the wrong rom (my bad, I know!), wrong meaning: not compatible with the device. Since the device would not boot I restored the old system (I have a few backups).
But, at this point when it landed on the lockscreen I found out the touch screen would not work - it totally ignored my fingers (while everything else seems just fine). I flashed it again a number of times with other compatible roms, did factory resets, cleared data/partitions ... you name it. No joy. I didn't want to give up but, at this point I feel I'm out of options.
Is it possible the wrong rom compromised the touch screen? Or is it a coincidence the touch screen stopped working? Is there any software out there to test if this is a hardware problem?
