I realized after using the cam-flash.zip provided earlier in this thread that my camera was working but only at 3MP. I grabbed the same lib files for the camera as well as the camera.apk from the OMGB release by r2DoesInc and modified the update.zip to flash those files instead. I now have my camera working at 8MP and my camcorder (almost) works. It displays fine but when I start recording it just freezes on one frame.

All credit for that fix belongs to the team behind OMGB.

I'm pretty sure I was the first to put the evo libs in our rom to get the camera working ;)
If you're looking for a dialer with the t9 style (type the letters of the name) try "dialer one"

yep i just took the files that you posted and put them in a flashable zip for the people that were having issues.

Here is a zip with the camera from OMGB that enables 8MP. Prob the same exact same zip that you flashed. I just tested it and now I have 8MP as an option also.

I used the cam-flash provided earlier in this thread (sorry I can't remember who provided it) and the camera did work
but only at 3MP. I'm not trying to step on any toes or take credit for anything I just pointed out the steps I took to get the 8MP working on this ROM.

The way these forums are laid out, the first 10-30 pages of replies are usually about the beta or v1 of a ROM release so I tend to jump to the last page and work my way backward in order to find info about the latest releases. In doing so, I may have come across somebody else's post before I got back to your (earlier) one. Again, sorry about that.

As for the Dialer, I am currently using Dialer One, and it is working very well so far.

Thanks for the suggestion and for all you Devs do for the community. It's the openness and teamwork that sets our community apart from *phone.

Yeah that zip has the same libs, but also replaces the camera app. I'm not sure where the camera app is originally from though

Has anyone over here in Evervolv-land had any luck with figuring this boot animation madness? I know in OMGB the boot animation is location in system/bin, but it's a generic file that doesn't seem to have any definitive format. I'm trying to understand this, but alas, I am at a loss. Does Drew or anyone have any suggestions?

/system/media/bootanimation.zip ??

I've changed mine with no problem

edit: It looks like the omgb roms have it in /data/local... all roms have a bootanimation file in /system/bin, you do not replace that one

Am I crazy? I just tried flashing this twice and I just get stuck at the white HTC Incredible screen. Had to do a Nand restore both times. Am I just being too impatient?

EDIT: Yeah I tried a third time and let it sit for 15 minutes. Still no luck. I'm okay with 3MP for now but damn, 8MP would be so much nicer!

One day I will stop being such a n00b and figure out how in Hell to install the SDK on my Mac. Until that day, I will have to wait for a flashable version, I'm afraid :(

I attempted to pull the files, put them into the ROM .zip, and flash that, but it simply wouldn't flash. Very strange. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone offer any insight?

Just flash one of the apk files for the keyboard that are floating around on the boards; it works. But yeah, it should be included in the release.

I still don't have autocorrect in my keyboard. Apparently OMGB v4 has it working. Think we can bring that over and get it working? ;)

I don't have the stock colored one, but someone themed it for the CM Ninjabread theme and it looks real purty if you want it. :)

Just pm me your email address.

Running build 13, he has it working marvelously. It seems to be faster than omgb and runs more or less the same. SDcard is mountable using the same gscripts that r2doesinc had. Camera is 8mp. No browser FC nor market FC. All status bar icons light green like they are supposed too. EVparts are intact. Excellent job.

Far as I can tell no, but overall its my favorite of the two GB roms out now. I think now that he can have a regualr person to test it on and get logs that should speed it up :) I love this ROM. Just super duper fast. Oh and the screen off animation is SWEET

I've been rocking build 12 in the wild since yesterday and I have to agree. Evervolv > OMGB so far. Very happy with this ROM and I eagerly await build 13!

Ladies and gentlemen I am glad to bring you the first ever gingerbread beta of Evervolv for the Droid Incredible! First thing I would like to say is that this rom would not be possible without the CyanogenMod team. I am merely here to bring you how I like my phone setup and give you more options over a base build of the gingerbread genre. My qualifications are inferior to what is required on some of the fixes that were made. Thus I rely on the CyanogenMod Team for their expertise in these fields.

With this being said I'd like to introduce the Evervolv team (the guys who make this rom happen).

bcnice20 (wtf does he do? where is he?? =p, Evo Shift 4G)
    milesje (java/android & overall, Evo)
cocide (linux, scripting & overall, Evo, N1)
    tpyoknig (web)
deck (noone knows what he does, he's like the evervolv troll, Evo & MT4G)
preludedrew (overall, Evo, Droid Incredible, Hero CDMA, Evo Shift 4g)

This is where i would like to thank all of the donaters to the Evervolv project. Any and all donations are not used for personal use. I have and will only use them for further development. (i.e. Droid incredible, Evo Shift 4G, java and android books). I will be compiling this list and updating it constantly. If you do decide to donate for the furthering of the evervolv project, please leave me your xda ID in the message so I can give you recognition on here.

    Your kind sole here.

As far as the features go, I'm going to add them as we go. The changelogs reflect all additions, so you can review it for the time being.

    Insert features here.

What does not work or is quirky.

Screenshots of the ROM in action can be seen Here - Screenshots

Download the latest from from Evervolv.com

Make sure to do a full wipe, even if you're coming from an older build, just to make sure. Also, flash Google Apps that are also on that download page.

    Thanks
    -Andrew
