Brazilian Xoom (MZ605)! Where is the official updates Motorola?

I have a Brazilian Xoom (Wifi and 3G), and I am very "surprised" with the long time without official updates from Motorola. Here in Brazil, We have Xooms running Android 3.0.1 yet!
Shameful, I am not waiting the 4G upgrade from Motorola...

In fact i have also a MZ605 and i'm using the 3.1 version, did you checked on the tablet menu? Xoom only updates through OTA...

I have a MZ605 too, and if you want to update just download the MZ605 image here (http://developer.motorola.com/products/software/) and flash the image on your Xoom... To receive OTA update you need to have BL Locked

Brazilian Motorola sucks! They have no dates for 3.2 update, imagine the 4.0!

I think no 3.2 update because the major features (except screen rezise) are already on 3.1, like sdcard write... Anyway you can flash Tiamat MZ601 ROM that will work flawlessy (as I read

Well, you already have the best there is for our MZ605: ICS 4.0.3 by EOS. Just keep it like that, and forget about Motorola supporting Brazilian devices. We've been forsaken by Motorola.

I have no expectations to have ICS delivered by OTA to our devices in a near (4-6 months) future. I hope - really - Motorola proves me wrong, but that's just my opinion.

Also, calling Motorola support in Brasil is helpess: they don't even know what a Xoom is.

When I read that in USA was launched the HC 3.2 and began the upgrade for 4G, I decided to take a custom rom for my device. I can't wait for actions from Motorola. We are lucky, because we have enough knowledge to take root, and install a custom rom, but and the people that don't have any knowledge? They will wait forever.

It's because of that I got a MZ604 and unlocked the bootloader.
Now I got ICS 4.0.3 and root.

Motorola in Brazil = FAIL

I was bored about waiting. Unlocked my bras xoom and flashed US fw; got ICS without problems. Only thing is that my xoom is now in english but i don't care.
It's ridicolous to get ICS when it's time for a new version.

Certainly, the better way is update your Xoom using a custom ROM. I didn't know how to do it, but there are lots of tutorials teaching it!.
My tip, forget updates from Motorola.

MZ601 frequencies UMTS

Hi, guys just one question : Does MZ601 only operates in UMTS 2100MHZ or also in 850 MHZ? I ask due to Claro operates only in 850 MHZ the 3G here in Sao Paulo. Thanks

MZ604 Wifi Only => 4.0 Possible?

Hi guys,
i've a Motorola Xoom MZ604 (Wifi Only / Brazilian) working with Honeycomb 3.1.
I need to root and use Usb OTG, i was looking for to do at 3.1, but have some rom 4.0 or greater with root applied for this device?

Yes, in fact in 850 MHz your XOOM can do both 3G/WCDMA and GSM.
