Team Win Recovery Project 2.6, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

These were compiled by me, these are not Official TWRP builds. (Those are in the link above)
If you have issues with these, do not report them directly to TeamWin.
You can let me know here in this thread, or via PM.
If anyone does have issues with these, please specify if you are using my unofficial build or not, thanks.

YEA BUDDY! Worked perfect..... FYI at HTCdev select "All Other Supported Models" when selecting device. Just throwing that out there before the question is asked.

Ok, Correct me if i'm wrong..

First i need to d/l twrp recovery.

Then I need to head to htcdev's site and unlock the device..

After that, I enter Fastboot by holding "Volume down+Power key" correct?

The last few steps im confused, I'm assuming it has to do with plugging phone into pc and doing commands? If at all possible, Can we get step by step on this part? Thanks!

Updated OP with video. Just use the recovery .img file in the OP instead of the one the Video shows.

The quote above yours

Never mind. I knew something had to be messed up. From my phone all that was showing was the video links. I quoted the OP and saw the links for the file's.

thanks for this, took a little time to get it to work but it was because the phone would not connect to the computer in fastboot when connected to a usb3 slot. If you are having issues try switching to a usb 2 port. took me about a half hour to figure out that this was the problem lol. I am using windows 8.

Great! Thanks! I'll be adding this in to my toolkit and posting my toolkit in the VZW forum

Sent From My HTC One via Someone's Room ;)

I was quite the fan of your toolkit when I used the at&t One. It's quite a time saver, and recommend it for everyone. I'm certainly not a noob. I've been doing this since the HTC Hero, and I consistently find myself pulling up your toolkit rather than running adb scripts myself.

Thanks again, and highly recommended.

Just successfully unlocked my device. Now I'm confused at this part:

Boot phone into fastboot
Perform command fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.0.1-m7vzw.img
Boot into HBOOT and select recovery

Should I have moved the recovery download onto the device for the 2nd line?

EDIT: Never mind. Figured it out.

Updated with an Unofficial 2.8.3 build

OP updated with my own personal Unofficial TWRP build.
I used the latest Twrp build sources for version 2.8.3.

It's been a little while since I have done an unofficial Twrp update for this device.
But that time has come again, as current official or otherwise 2.8+ versions, all have issues for me that I don't care for.
Whether it was hanging during wiping data and or caches, taking way to long for installs, failing to install some roms at all, erroring on meta data, lacking fully functional mtp support, or whatever other issues may have come up, etc,..
So, I have been sticking with MdMowers last 2.7.1.2 build, rather then any of the current 2.8 ones, until now.

I have fixed up all the issues that I found present with current 2.8+ versions.
I hope that you'll find my 2.8.3 update as stable and reliable as I do.
It's been compiled using m7 kernel sources, rather then the slightly buggier and slower msm8960 sources.
So it should also perform operations in a decent time.
It's been working well for me.
    Enjoy! :good:

    I almost forgot:
This also now has fully functional and properly implemented by-name partition mounting support.
Which means it should work well and be fully compatible with Sense Lollipop roms once they arrive... ;)

Just did some backups with Santod's 2700, definitely faster than Official.

    Same amount of data...
    Compressed...

    2634 -10min
    2700 Santod - 10min
    2700/2701 Official - 35min

Did all, a couple of times.

    Anyone else?

    Not complaining, curious?

If you're there Santod, any chance to fix OTG/USB?

    Thanks...

    the ONE

    Sure bud, here you go.
Here's my fresh build of 2.7.0.1 with OTG support included.

Alright update time. I highly recommend updating to newest version. Supports selinux for cm-11 roms and offmode charging now as the stock nexus animation when charging when phone is off. Please let me know of any problems.
