I cannot answer 100% for sure but I have read posts in other places that says it does and everything is backwards compatible since Tmobile owns MetroPCS now.
I feel like it would, but I just want to be 100% sure before I dive into the investment, thanks for your input

My t mobile s5 came with an apn from metro pre-installed on it. So I would assume they share the same network, and the devices should be the same, correct me if I'm wrong.

Really? Mine didn't. I'm not saying it's not compatible, I'm just saying mine only has tmobile apns.
Yes, and I bought mine brand new in the store and they set it up. Maybe their computers installed it when they had their usb connected to it?

The metro version in all reality is the same as the tmobile one, yet it requires unlock from what I've heard
