I upgraded my Galaxy P-1000 Tab to a recent nightly (5/15/2014) and it works flawlessly as far as I can tell, but I've installed the diskspace app and it shows that my system partition is 97% FULL. A few more apps and I'll be getting those infernal process android.core.etc stopped messages again.

My question is, can I use something like GNU Parted's "resize" command to expand /system? Can it be temporarily dismounted, resized, then mounted again while the OS is running? It can do it without reformatting but has to be dismounted. Or can I reboot to CW Recovery and get to a command prompt from one of those options (can anyone tell me what bootloader does? That's the only option I don't understand in Recovery).?

Sorry if these are newbie questions but I'd like to do this the most "no fuss, no muss" way possible and I'm too broke to buy an SD card reader. Thanks!
