Almost the same problem here. I uninstalled SuperSU and now Superuser cant gain root. No root apps work so I'm wiping my system and reflashing my ROM. PITA.
Thank you for this awesome app, chainfire!!
It's already better than superuser app, i.e. I have to give spirit FM superuser permissions only once,
with superuser app I had to give it permission hundreds of times.

Why do that? Just flash the .zip from superusers site

Tried that when i try to update su from its app,it still fails to get root access! Any other ideas?
Got the same issue, and SuperUser reports that i'm using the SuperSU binary.
Edit: Also any chance you might be able to price it without tax on the market? Kinda annoying when it's ~50-75 cents more expensive when you get to the checkout screen
Having an issue trying to get SuperSU up and running on my GNex.
- Installed from the Market.
- Launch SuperSU.
- Get notification that my binary must be updated, click Continue.
- SuperSU generates a Superuser prompt asking for root permissions, I give them.
- Installation failed !
- Relaunch SuperSU, get the "no SU binary installed" message.
- Launch Superuser --> Settings --> Update binary. Reflects binary version "v0.72:SUPERSU" installed. Can update it successfully back to the standard Superuser binary.
What am I missing?
Preliminary update for Android 4.2's multi-user capabilities.
Only the main user can run the UI and gain root access.
Secondary user's apps will not be granted root, nor can
those users change SuperSU configuration.
This is all temporary. Proper multi-user support is being
worked on.
Note that if a non-user process (like ADB shell) needs to
prompt for root, that prompt will always appear on the
MAIN user's screen !
