I checked logcat.
Code:
I/app2sd  ( 1600): App2SD started...

I/app2sd  ( 1605): Found sd-ext partition at: /sd-ext

I//system/xbin/run-parts( 1526): /system/etc/init.d/10apps2sd: line 69: syntax error: unexpected "else"

I//system/xbin/run-parts( 1526): run-parts: /system/etc/init.d/10apps2sd exited with code 2

So sd-ext is visible in root explorer as my ext4 partition but apps stays in /data

give the 10apps2sd script from v29 a try ;)

Almost 3 days using this awesome ROM, but i have some sad reports about wifi.

Wifi is working perfectly until i notice that, for some reason, suddenly my phone stops surfing the web or access any of my lan file servers. When i check the wifi settings everything seems to be fine, it appears to be working but its not. Tried to turn wifi off and turn on (to connect again) and it doesn't work. Already tried to forget my wifi network and add again, without success.
Only works again if i reboot my phone. But at some point, the issue always come back. =(

Im at Alfs9c (fps capped version) and obviously GingerDX v30.

give the 10apps2sd script from v29 a try ;)

He already said that he had the same problem in v29.

@roobal - Try getting a script from here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1716124 . The A2SD+ should work exactly as the 10apps2sd script. I actually prefer keeping dalvik-cache on the internal memory, so I just use A2SD.

You should delete first 10apps2sd from the init.d folder and then push the new script. Reboot into CWM, clear dalvik-cache, reboot the phone and enjoy. Notice that any apps that you had installed will be lost.

That's without digging any deeper.

@ADDOriN - All that process could be made easier using the x8toolbox. Also CWM is recommended for installing GingerDX, as opposed to xRecovery.

Thank you. A2SD+ script fixed the issue. But I think devs should look into this problem if they have some spare time :)

NO! GDX does not support xRecovery! Flash only via CWM, as stated in the OP!
Only GDX v13 and below are xRecovery flashable.

Besides the problem mentioned above, I'm having another problem that bothers me. When trying to solve the wifi problem, I realize that sometimes when i restart the phone my a2sd partition doesn't work, need to restart again so the a2sd can work properly. =/

Any advice?

    GingerDX
    Now under new management ;)

    Intro
    Let's continue the fun! :)

    This project is a continuation of doixanh's personal ROM, known as GingerDX.
    ("Ginger" as in "Gingerbread", and "DX" as in short for "doixanh")

    Brought to you by TeamFun:
    eagleeyetom, djnilse and AChep.

    As set in stone by doixanh, the main goal is to have a fast, smooth and lightweight CM7 based ROM with some special features.

    Before we begin:
    Code:
    package gingerdx;

    import disclaimer;

    public class GingerDXDisclaimer extends Disclaimer {

        /**
         * Your warranty is now likely void.
         *
         * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
         * spontaneous combustion, or any other host of cosmic penalties
         * which may befall you, your family, or your phone.
         *
         */
        public GingerDXDisclaimer(){
            warranty.set(0);
        }

    }

    GingerDX now even has its own IRC channel!
    If you feel like chatting with each other or hanging out with us:
    #GingerDX
    NOTE: Before you click the link to get to FreeNode's webchat or fire up your IRC clients:
    The developers are NOT your personal support helpdesk nor root of endless knowledge.
    If you are a developer or have a really urgent or tricky problem come tell us about it.

    Install Instructions
    • Choose the version you want to install

    Themes
    NOTE: We are not responsible for system instabilities caused by themes
    The formerly included theme was A-Theme Lite by AChep.

    GingerDX natively supports T-Mobile themes. You can find other themes in the list of available T-Mobile themes in XDA Android's theme sticky.
    Download the theme of your choice onto your phone and use Theme Chooser (included in GingerDX) to select theme.

    Notice
    Very important. Read all before posting questions!
    1. This ROM is based on doixanh's personal ROM and continued in the same philosophy to keep it as lightweight as possible. You can report bugs in this thread and suggest additions, but understand we're not obligated to fix or include them. We'll fix what is needed, and we'll include what makes sense.
    2. We are NOT responsible for any bugs caused by custom-made fixes/additions/tweaks. You use them at your own risk and responsibility!
    3. Regarding the copyright branding at the bottom in Lockscreen: We will NOT remove them nor provide any option to disable them. Don't PM/Post to ask for the removal or nag otherwise.
    4. If you have battery drain, try the following:
    • Clear battery stats in recovery.
    • Freeze unused services (like Email, DSP Manager, Maps). This is important.
    • Turn OFF 'Allow mock locations'.
    • Don't set brightness too high.
    • Don't install too many unused apps.
    • Turn OFF WiFi, 2G, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth when not in use.
    • Turn OFF LED Succession.
    • Reboot after you listen to music. Music service caused battery drain (in the past).
    Generally, doixanh and me usually get 2-3 days out of a charge (give or take depending on usage).
    5. If you still have battery drain after following Step 4, try:
    • Full wipe in recovery, re-install GingerDX.
    • Use Stock ROM for several days to see if the battery problem is caused by GingerDX or not.
    • If it doesn't drain, try installing one of your apps, test battery for a day, install another one, and test.
    • and so on...
    That way you will know what's the cause of your battery drain.

      • Enabled CM's "Custom light levels" and "Allow light decrease" by default

    Good Bye!

    It's been over a year when me and B.Jay took over the GingerDX ROM from doixanh. Through these months our team evolved and we gained much experience, but every story has an end, so does GingerDX.

    Why we decided to discontinue this project? Well, there are few factors and I'll try to tell them, as we always treat, you, our dear users, fair.

    1. 3/4 of our members don't use X8 right now. We have switched to some more powerful devices, as X8 was our first Android phone, but it was released 2.5 year ago (you know how fast the Android world runs).
    2. We have no time at the moment. Our real lives strike back with many problems and we have to earn some money for living ;)
    3. The 2.6.32 plan has failed as the lack of time and some serious problems with compatibility were serious reasons to abandon this project.
    4. We would like to try something new with Jellybean and X8 is way too old to run it on an acceptable level (I know some users will disagree with me, but that's a fact)

    It's getting sentimental, but it's really a hard decision for us to make, but we were thinking about it for a long time. I want to thank few people who always supported us:
    @SMillerNL - for a big donation and being a great admin of our site
    @GermainZ - for being a friendly guy, who always makes us happy :)
    @laufersteppenwolf - for maintaining a Q&A thread
    @shineworld - for his technical support and being a good friend
    @NinoRapis - for donation :)
    And all users of our small ROM. Without you having it would've been pointless.

    Our sources are still on our Github, so feel free to make use of them. Thank you and see you around!

    Me presenting Apps and explaining what they do

    EXPLANATION:

    Pick-Up-To-Call in Phone dialer and MMS:
    i would appreciate it, if you try it out and post what do you think about it
    simply enable it in gdx settings

    for those who dont know what Pick-Up-To-Call in Phone dialer means :
    it simply means :
    1. type the number in the dialer
    2. move it to your ear (or pull your finger on the proximity sensor and hold the phone vertically)
    3. it calls the number
    same in Mms, there it just calls the number of the chat/sms you reading

    use of pick-up-to-call:
    • in Mms to call the number from the opened SMS
    • in phone dialer, calls the number you typed in

    GPSCountryOptimizer:
    this is an app i really recommend you to use

    It was B_Jay's idea, to make an app that changes location in gps.conf of the NTP_SERVER, so everyone can set it to their home country
    this should provide a much better GPS

    GDXUpdateNotify:
    this was an idea we were thinking about a long time,
    so now it is up and it will provides you an Notification, IF a new GDX version is up

    + added Changelog under About Phone:
    there you can see the changelog and even download GingerDX
