Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but I have received my case, it looks very nice and neat BUT.... it puts the Nexus to sleep when folding the flap to the back... uploading video now and will post it here.

I have started a new thread with the video here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=31947249#post31947249

Video link is broken for me?

Edit: Vid doesn't display on Tapatalk app on Nexus 7. Fine on laptop and one x. Typical.

Question to owners of this case:

I have an i-Blason case. It does not have a clip like the Blu Rex ultra slim case, however the magnets on the case are strong enough they kind of hold the flap down, which is actually really nice. The magnets on this case... are they strong enough to hold the flap down like this? I did end up getting the Blu Rex magyc folio case as well, mostly because I liked the i-Blason case but wanted it in all black, but the magnet strength was absolutely terrible, to the point I flat out won't even use that case. Anyway, this is what brings me to the big question - how do the magnets of this case compare? Are they strong enough to securely hold the flap?

Those of you who got duds - are you returning them?

The only magnet on the E-Cell case is the one for the sleep/wake function. The flap does not stay if you hold the unit upside down.

So I've just received the case today and here is my mini review. I apologise for the blurry photo's lol

First I will point out that I'm not sure whether it is real leather or not, it smells similar but is quite faint - I'd say that is isn't real. Either way I'm not fussed as it was £8.95 and it still looks and feels nice.

Some pictures of how it came and what it looks like without the Nexus 7 in.

It was very easy to get the Nexus 7 into the case, first I put the right side into the case and gently pushed on the left and it popped straight in. defiantly feels secure.

It fits really well and the front flap will protect the screen from any hard objects,

As you can see all the ports are exposed, even the microphones have cut outs.

You can see the speaker has a cut out, I haven't noticed any difference in volume.

If you try to fold the flap behind the device you end up with this, which could be good for typing on the keyboard in landscape. Although if you place pressure on it you can hold it fine in portrait mode.

The case is very stable in the 'stand' mode and you can angle it to how you want.

Overall I am very happy with the case and I feel that it will defiantly protect the Nexus 7 so I won't really have to worry as much as it being 'naked'.

It also features the magnet sleep sensor function!

    Original Post:

I've just purchased the E-Cell Luxury Protective Leather Case in Black, once I get it I'll post up a small review on it.

It looks pretty nice and it's what I was after as I don't really want a bulky case that covers the whole device, I've also purchased gloss and matte screen protectors.

Does anyone here have this already? or has ordered one too?

I'll update this with a review once I get it.

Good quicky review :) Looks decent!

Thank you! It's a very nice case!

I couldn't see it, but does it feature a smart cover? AKA magnets? Look nice though.

I can confirm that it does indeed have the magnet sleep function! I have just been able to test it as my Nexus 7 was charging.

It does not turn the tablet off when you flip the front cover around to the back either!

thanks very much for the review. It looks like the case I have been waiting for but looks like it does not have the wake/sleep function so I will still wait a bit longer.

As I said above, this does have the sleep function! :)

Thank you so much for updating, another question though, it looks like it does not have any ridge on the flap to stop the case from slipping when using it as stand just like this one:
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLACK-LEA...K_iPad_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item2ec1b902a8

Can you please confirm that it does not slip when you put the tablet in landscape orientation... cheers bud

Yeah it doesn't have a ridge, it depends how you place the tablet. If you are using it on a flat surface and you are not moving the tablet then it will stay in place. However if you start moving around the tablet will slowly start to slide until it comes off the front flap and stops.

It can stay in place well if you don't move around much if you are resting it on your legs though.
