Thank you for doing this. After a lot of trial-and-error, I got this to work for me on Samsung S10 (Android 9 Pie), Pixel 3 (Android 9 Pie), and a couple android emulators.

The "-k" option uninstalls the application while retaining the data/cache.

Indeed, it could be that since we use the "-k" option
And something changed since android 7+, like a new version check from davlik-cache (?)
