Hey brother,
@Juangiluruguay don't worry.. until you pull the plug off the device while flashing it in Odin there is no problem.. Actually I have done that too in my Galaxy S just to see if it really bricks and it still works like a charm
(sadistic!, I know). Not suggesting You should do that but don't worry.
And the Software Update part You just said I think You have triggered Knox counter and so No more Official Updates for You
welcome to the Knox'ed Group.
Almost Every user flashing from 4.4.2 has to follow this method after selecting Model, Android version in toolkit follow this-
Step 1. Type in " 7 " i.e Rename Recovery Restore Files.
Step 2. Type in " 3 " i.e Sideload zip file;
Step 3. Type in " n " when asked if You have already flashed TWRP;
Step 4. Type in whichever recovery no. You want. (I use Philz Touch since I've been used to CWM and Philz is touchable
)
Step 5. With USB debugging enabled plug in the device powered on and in Homescreen, better You disable Lock screen for some time. Type " y " when You are ready to continue.
Step 6. ****Very crucial*** When Odin pops up make sure You
un-tick the option "Auto Reboot". See to it that "F. Reset Time" is only option which is ticked. And select the Recovery file to be loaded into PDA and after that Press "Start".
Step 7. Now don't panic after the flash the phone will still be in Download mode so You need to un-plug the device and press 3-button combo which is Volume UP+Home+POWER buttons until You see the "Samsung Galaxy Note 3" logo and release it immediately. (Now what You did is over-ride Samsung recovery replacer and You took control)
Step 8. Now You need to flash the file named "permanent-recovery.zip" (which will be in Your device) through recovery itself.
Step 9. Reboot into device and do whatever SuperSU asks You to do. I recommend, You check for root status using any app (search Root checker on play store)
Step 10. And copy any Rom or kernel and move on.
Anybody, If there is anything missing in-between these steps please let Us know.. Happy Flashing.. I have covered all the steps as far as I can remember and I hope this helps.
@Juangiluruguay let me know if it works. It should as far as I know. Happy flashing.
