[Q] improper aspect ratio for front facing camera in snapchat

Such a specific question, but anyway. My aspect ratio is messed up for snapchat when I use the front facing camera. Running CM11 M3. It's fine in normal camera, but in snapchat everything is squished inward and taller than it actually is. Here's some pictures of what I mean. First picture is right, second is in snapchat.

not sure if you've solved this, result popped up in google, but what i did was force close and wipe data on camera app.
