Having an issue trying to get SuperSU up and running on my GNex.
- Installed from the Market.
- Launch SuperSU.
- Get notification that my binary must be updated, click Continue.
- SuperSU generates a Superuser prompt asking for root permissions, I give them.
- Installation failed !
- Relaunch SuperSU, get the "no SU binary installed" message.
- Launch Superuser --> Settings --> Update binary. Reflects binary version "v0.72:SUPERSU" installed. Can update it successfully back to the standard Superuser binary.
What am I missing?
On SGS2 running ICS, installed okay, opened and tried to update the binary buy this failed. but now seems to be working and managing SU permissions.
Biggest problem is when I open the app I get an error saying "there is no super SU binary installed and that it can't instal one. This is a problem."
when I tap OK, the app closes.
v0.73 was just released, it should fix a few issues. Sorry for the rapid succession of updates, but I've been having about 12 conversations crossing eachother trying to get some issues fixed.
Fixed the installation issue, thanks for the prompt update.
Have a suggestion though: can you set the Grant action to be on the right on ICS (like OK button) ? It makes it more consistant with the system (you get used to right side OK button on ICS).
Installed the app to test then uninstalled, have reinstalled and when I open SuperSu I get an error "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it.This is a problem!" Thing is, it is installed, had no problems when I first installed it,any ideas how to fix? cheers
Preliminary update for Android 4.2's multi-user capabilities.
Only the main user can run the UI and gain root access.
Secondary user's apps will not be granted root, nor can
those users change SuperSU configuration.
This is all temporary. Proper multi-user support is being
worked on.
Note that if a non-user process (like ADB shell) needs to
prompt for root, that prompt will always appear on the
MAIN user's screen !
