Replace the existing /system/build.prop with this file. Rename to build.prop, change permissions to 644 (rw-r--r--) and reboot.

Build.prop for all ATT i337 users with carrier data icons. Same as above, push to /system, rename, and fix permissions.

COMPLETE SAFESTRAP VISION-X INSTRUCTIONS

☆U CAN'T FLASH CUSTOM KERNEL☆
1.Unzip NDG rom zip and replace updater script with modified updater script from that folder I sent u earlier.
2. Then rezip the NDG rom zip.
3. Place NDG rom zip into your SD card and place either NC1 module kernel zip or NB1 modules kernel Zip.
4. Reboot to SS recovery.
5. Wipe ....advance wipe .....check everything except SD card.....
6. Hit Home and install NDG rom zip
7. Hit Home again then flash either NC1 modules kernel or NB1 modules kernel that u placed rattler into SD card.
a) already recommended to have matching kernel modules with your system firmware. ....
if you are on NC1 then flash NC1 kernel modules.
8. Then reboot to system.
9. For ATT user only ...Flash this Att Apn zip to get att build.prop and 4gLTE apn instead of 4g

[SAFESTRAP][NF1][GUIDE][LINKS][June.23.2014]

You need to modify the updater-script is located in the ROM install zip.Specifically... \META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script

An easy way to edit the zip file is with 7zip. (Its a free Windows program that lets you browse and make changes to the archive without having to unzip and rezip the entire file.)

Step 1
Grab the modified updater-scripts from here updater-scripts

VISION-X-SS-NF1

OLDER VERSION


Step 2
If the file is "updater-script" (with no .txt) you can delete the original in the ROM zip and replace it with the modified updater-script

If the file is "updater-script.txt", you should be able to just delete the ".txt" extension. Then delete the original in the ROM zip and replace it with the modified updater-script

Step 2 (alternative)
- Drag the original "updater-script" to your desktop and delete it from the ROM install zip.
- Open both (original and modified) updater files with Notepad++ (another free Windows program)
- Replace the contents of the original updater-script with the contents of the modified updater-script
- Save the "newly edited" original update-script and drag it back ROM install in 7zip

Step 3
All done. Close 7zip and copy newly update ROM install zip to your extSdCard and flash away.

-- UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip from here...just In case u would lose Root access....but it won't hurt to flash it anyway.
-- Odin 3.09 and files from MLD Odin Files folder from MLD/MK2-safestrap kit

First time installing a 4.4.2 ROM:
0. Root and install safestrap v3.72
1. Copy files from above to extSdCard
2. Reboot into Safestrap Recovery
3. Wipe... Advanced Wipe... everything except extSdCard
4. Install... Stock or Custom 4.4.2 ROM
5. Install... mldmodules.zip (to fix wifi)
6. Install... UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip (to keep root)
7. Home... Reboot... Download (to reboot into download mode)
8. On PC, open Odin and flash files from MLD Odin Files folder.... BL AP CP

If you have managed to get to NC1 base and obtain root, either via @muniz_ri's I337_NB1toNC1_KeepRoot_OTA.zip or another way, then you should be able to install SS 3.72 and then install a 4.4.2 ROMs.
You will need the NC1 Modules found in Post #1520. Thanks @sirobelec

Files you will need on ExtSdCard before starting:
-- Safestrap-JFLTE-3.72-kk-B01.apk from here
-- ViSiON-X ROM Zip (check notes above and replace with Modified updater-script)
-- att_NC1_kernel_modules.zip from here

VisStock? What is it?
It is a very lite themed stock rom.
This rom IS NOT heavily modded with mods that slow the rom down.
I removed all of the stock green theme, and added a mod or 2 that is needed for a daily used rom.
Also, ViSiON X is a rom that is updated ONLY with base changes, therefor, there is no need for Change Logs.
(SO DON'T ASK)
All ViSiON X roms will include the same features throughout each release.

So if you are looking for a complete, heavily modded rom, ViSiON X is not for you.
There WILL be a ViSiON X N3 Ice Blue rom shortly.
There are many mods that the user can add to the rom on their own.
Makes for a user friendly rom that the user can mod themselves.

Man, I hope you don't give up on this so fast.

Just for a quick story, I had the S4 on Verizon before my gf and I switched to AT&T. Since on AT&T I couldn't find a rom that I wanted to stay on....until last night!!
I flashed this and installed Xposed and Nottach and can't be happier. It's so smooth, fast and snappy!

I really hope more people flash this and realize how good this rom is.

Thanks guys, learning this smali stuff is a challenge, not gonna waste time on it if it just sets there...hard to compete with the big boys:)
hard to get anything accomplished when the market is cornered. hard to get in that circle. The only thing that will save this rom is multi carrier....

Well if.i.wasn't at.work right now,with my note 2 ( ghost armor drying on my.s4) id be flashing this.right now! I do have to track down a.flashable zip of the rogers MG1 kernel to use but will run KTs kernel for now.
Your right there's more then a few roms out for the s4..not sure what is possible to set one apart from the rest other than working perfectly?
I know we have 3minit and xposed but maybe you could try and add morphology into the rom (it.uses aroma) it is hands down the most amazing theming mod i.have ever seen. have it on my s3 and.note2 (it was ported) but no one has ported it to work on the s4..it would be unique to have as part of a rom that's for sure.

    Replace the existing /system/build.prop with this file. Rename to build.prop, change permissions to 644 (rw-r--r--) and reboot.

    Build.prop for all ATT i337 users with carrier data icons. Same as above, push to /system, rename, and fix permissions.

    COMPLETE SAFESTRAP VISION-X INSTRUCTIONS

    ☆U CAN'T FLASH CUSTOM KERNEL☆
    1.Unzip NDG rom zip and replace updater script with modified updater script from that folder I sent u earlier.
    2. Then rezip the NDG rom zip.
    3. Place NDG rom zip into your SD card and place either NC1 module kernel zip or NB1 modules kernel Zip.
    4. Reboot to SS recovery.
    5. Wipe ....advance wipe .....check everything except SD card.....
    6. Hit Home and install NDG rom zip
    7. Hit Home again then flash either NC1 modules kernel or NB1 modules kernel that u placed rattler into SD card.
    a) already recommended to have matching kernel modules with your system firmware. ....
    if you are on NC1 then flash NC1 kernel modules.
    8. Then reboot to system.
    9. For ATT user only ...Flash this Att Apn zip to get att build.prop and 4gLTE apn instead of 4g

    [SAFESTRAP][NF1][GUIDE][LINKS][June.23.2014]

    You need to modify the updater-script is located in the ROM install zip.Specifically... \META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script

    An easy way to edit the zip file is with 7zip. (Its a free Windows program that lets you browse and make changes to the archive without having to unzip and rezip the entire file.)

    Step 1
    Grab the modified updater-scripts from here updater-scripts

    VISION-X-SS-NF1

    OLDER VERSION


    Step 2
    If the file is "updater-script" (with no .txt) you can delete the original in the ROM zip and replace it with the modified updater-script

    If the file is "updater-script.txt", you should be able to just delete the ".txt" extension. Then delete the original in the ROM zip and replace it with the modified updater-script

    Step 2 (alternative)
    - Drag the original "updater-script" to your desktop and delete it from the ROM install zip.
    - Open both (original and modified) updater files with Notepad++ (another free Windows program)
    - Replace the contents of the original updater-script with the contents of the modified updater-script
    - Save the "newly edited" original update-script and drag it back ROM install in 7zip

    Step 3
    All done. Close 7zip and copy newly update ROM install zip to your extSdCard and flash away.

    -- mldmodules.zip extracted from MLD/MK2-safestrap kit
    -- UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip from here...just In case u would lose Root access....but it won't hurt to flash it anyway.
    -- Odin 3.09 and files from MLD Odin Files folder from MLD/MK2-safestrap kit

    First time installing a 4.4.2 ROM:
    0. Root and install safestrap v3.72
    1. Copy files from above to extSdCard
    2. Reboot into Safestrap Recovery
    3. Wipe... Advanced Wipe... everything except extSdCard
    4. Install... Stock or Custom 4.4.2 ROM
    5. Install... mldmodules.zip (to fix wifi)
    6. Install... UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip (to keep root)
    7. Home... Reboot... Download (to reboot into download mode)
    8. On PC, open Odin and flash files from MLD Odin Files folder.... BL AP CP
    9. Phone will reboot automatically
    10. Configure APN Settings (if necessary)

    Every 4.4.2 ROM install afterwards:
    1. Copy files from above to extSdCard
    2. Reboot into Safestrap Recovery
    3. Wipe... Advanced Wipe... everything except extSdCard

    7. Home... Reboot... Download (to reboot into download mode)

    If you have managed to get to NC1 base and obtain root, either via @muniz_ri's I337_NB1toNC1_KeepRoot_OTA.zip or another way, then you should be able to install SS 3.72 and then install a 4.4.2 ROMs.
    You will need the NC1 Modules found in Post #1520. Thanks @sirobelec

    Files you will need on ExtSdCard before starting:
    -- Safestrap-JFLTE-3.72-kk-B01.apk from here
    -- ViSiON-X ROM Zip (check notes above and replace with Modified updater-script)
    -- att_NC1_kernel_modules.zip from here
    -- UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip from here

    ALL 4.4.2 ROM install after starting on NC1 rooted:
    1. Copy files from above to extSdCard
    2. Install safestrap v3.72 and reboot into Safestrap Recovery
