Message apk problem

Hi,

I did installed the rom twice and changed the permission of MMS.apk to rw-r-r but its not working at all. Please tell me what to do.

Everytime I try to send a message, it shows "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped." :(

hey thanks for the amazing ROM but i wanted to ask you something, i have flashed the latest Fusion Kernel and it worked flawlessly but before i came to this thread i downloaded the ROM 3.5.4 from the official MIUI website (the American site) and every time i try to flash it it gave me the assert error (had ICS kernel before the Fusion one) and even after updating the kernel it still gave me the same error, but i downloaded your version (multi-lang) and it flashed flawlessly :D
i just want to know why if you have any idea ???

I need more info.
What error, where? Of you have ARC and Error is Status 7, then you need to flash ARC S stock ROM before flashing MIUI

my phone is Xperia Arc S, and the error is assert failed getprop( ro.product.device ), i figured it was because of the ICS kernel because when i tried to flash older MIUI that was based on ICS it flashed without a problem so i flashed the fusion and gave it another try but still the same, i also downloaded the rom from the mirror (in case the official was corrupted) but still the same thats until i tried yours and it worked like a charm, so does it have to do with rom packaging ? since i also checked the assert in the build prop and it was set to anzu so it had to problem recognize the device.

Kernel related.

I was using Fusion 5.2 cos i was facing some wifi problems with the new kernels but i decided to move up to 5.5 and im getting horrible lags. Anyone else has the same prob? With Fusion 5.2 i can do almost anything including multitasking.. 5.5 though takes me 10 steps back?

Out of the three options available, which memory script would you suggest? I'm currently using supremacy but thinking it was a bad choice now :s for the record when i chose supremacy my messaging didnt work the first time but on a clean install with the same features (including supremacy) it's working fine

    Tips:
    - If your SD card is 6+ class speed, then I highly recommend to use SWAP file 128Mb+ (256 better). It will improve ROM speed and usability. You can create swap file during choosing installation option. Or create SWAP partition on your SD card by yourself.
    - ZRAM is partial solution for slow SD cards, and ZRAM bigger then 96Mb is not recommended. 64Mb is better.

    Issues and how to solve it:
    - If you install SuperSU, but can't get root: Go to SuperSu settings and remove "Respect CM root settings" selection, or set "Default access" to Grand. First is better.
    - Time to time you can find self reboot - it is caused end of free RAM. Them use SWAP 128-256Mb option during install
    - If you have reboots after Pin code enter, please disable pin code request on other phone or other ROM. Unfortunately it doesn't fixed completely yet.
    - If you have troubles with auto-brightness, please try previous kernel version
    - Desktop rebooting time to time - it is caused by Weather BZ application. Add it to autorun, or delete if you didn't use it.
    - Hard enter to recent applications by HOME button - enter to settings - buttons - disable "recent applications" option by holding HOME button, or set another time.

    - ОТА update doesn't have Supercharged services.jar (second part on SuperCharge V6), Install it manually after OTA update if you use Supercharger script.

    (at first sorry for the pm, but as a new member I cannot post on your MIUI5 thread although I follow your work since MIUI V2)

    I'd like to ask a simple question:
    I have the xperia Arc running the latest multilang v4 MIUI version, 3.2.22, using the modified stock kernel
    I want to update to MIUI5 3.5.4...
    do I have to wipe anything in CWM or just flash the new version + kernel?

    Please post your answer in your thread so anyone can see the answer.

    To update your ROM from MIUIv2 or MIUIv4 to MIUIv5:
    - Make backup of all information and application that you want to save in you MUI backup application.
    - Make sure that you have 70+ baseband (it is not necessary, just recommended. 77 for example)
    - Download and copy last version of MIUIv5 to your SD card
    - Download and flash kernel for your phone from the first post of the thread (It is important as other kernels can not work properly)
    - Enter to Recovery on new kernel and make wipe data (factory reset) (or don't forget to select this option during installation)
    - Select install zip and found your MIUIv5 ROM zip file on SD card
    - Follow Installation process.
    - Reboot after 5 min after first boot.

    To restore data from previous MIUI version:
    - Run MIUI backup application
    - Restore ONLY Phone book, call list, SMS, and applications.
    - DO NOT restore system configurations and staff like this to avoid system issues.
