Minimal Profile 1.0 - in-ear-phones - check this out

Alright everyone, try this out and let me know what you think. I hadn't really tooled around with @BSDgeek_Jake's Dolby samples until @ahrion posted his profile, since I had been stuck on the BBE samples to that point. Well, I switched over to the Dolby Pro Logic II sample and I am so amazed... with my older phone though, the more processing I add the laggier and more glitchy it gets so I can't really make full use of some of the profiles posted in this thread. I am getting super awesome sound quality though with this profile (if it can really be called a profile):

TDFB Minimal Profile 1.0
ViPER FX only:
-Convolver: Enabled
- Impulse Response: Dolby Pro Logic II.irs
-Enable ViPER Clarity: Enabled
- Select Clarity Mode: Natural
- Select Clarity: 3.5 dB


I'm psyched with the sound quality, and I can multitask so much better now too. This IRS sample is just the best with my in-ear-phones, stellar work by @BSDgeek_Jake, no tweaking needed really except the 3.5 dB Natural ViPER Clarity gives the vocals and percussion a slight punch. :good::good:

Thanks again @viper520, @zhuhang, and everyone, and hopefully some of my postings have helped others get to this point too!

How do you guys change the convolver/impulse response?

No matter which setting/option i click, the sound won't change in any way...

The other options like gain and Firequalizer etc works great! But the Convolver tab doesnt change the sound for me (and yes i ticked the box for enable)

Any help?

Click on the impulse response words under the convolver word. You do need to have some irs files in that folder, though.

Found it.. i putted the map IRS files (the map of the zip file) in the kernel folder.. Thats why it didnt do anything to my presets!

Now i putted all .irs files in the kernel folder and it works perfect :)

Only thing I have found to be lacking is the really deep sub-bass... I haven't found a way to restore that without adding too much more processing. Still fiddling with it though, I'll update the profile if I get it right.

-Updated for new FX 2.3.1.1 update
-Removed FX Playback Gain Control (reason being increased background noise, especially at lower volumes)
-Small changes

I recommend creating a new profile with this update instead load loading an existing profile. Reasons being compatibility purposes: different effect quality drivers, a new convolver option, etc. Save over old saved profile when finished.

This is probably the best profile sounding update I've done in my professional music opinion (as I am a musician). The sound plays nice for a wide range of music styles. I use V4A in conjunction with PureAudio™ Engine. Doesn't seem to make anything worse, so use at your own risk.

Those Dolby Presets were removed from OP, because there are some white noise and hissing sound and I experienced that noise too, Could you wait for the new ones? BSDgeek_Jake is working on it. :)

Oh definitely yes I can wait, I was trying to help a fellow audiophile out! I am more than satisfied with the amazing T-Racks samples.

    1. Find the Profile you would like to use.
    2. Download V4A FX and/or XHiFi
    3. Open either app and switch to the device the profile uses.
    4. Enter all that you see on the profile.
    5. Enjoy the amazing sound!

    Rx Pain Killers

    Here I present my new creation, a set of 3 profiles I call "Pain Killers"

    There are 3 settings: Morphine, Oxycontin and Percocet. ;)
    Remember, "Dont mix your pills or else" :p

    To use them, just leave everything default and apply VDC and IRS accordingly.
    Tested them myself in 3 different set of earphones: Piston v2, SONY MDR-EX90 LP and Westone 3 and I loved the sound coming from them (specially the second profile).
