Flashtool problem

I have problems with flashtool trying to flash the X10_1.0_Bin4ry_Dualtouch.ftf. When I try to flash I get the following error message in Flashtool:

It is obviously something wrong. I have tried to download the ftf file again, but with the same result. :mad:

To flash sin files you must follow steps from 3rd post to create a ftf file. Or download ftf from 1st post and then read 2nd

It guive you error but after that the proccess continues..did you try to open a image file from any explorer?
This wont enable mt at browser "per si" you need another tweaks

I managed to get MT work but after following the additional guide on how to enable MT in all applications. Without doing those steps no success. The error message in the flash procedure obviously does not mean anything. Thanx!

Im not sure where you can find latest FW to your phone. Sorry.
The links provided on 1st post are only for X10. Not sure about dualtouch.

hi,i have a branded phone from telenor...i have got root and have removed many things from telenor and other ****.
But i wonder if i got any benefits of doing this...will i get a clean x10 whit flashing whitout telenor like a debranding or something like that?
Is there something you can tell me to do to got a clean phone like i bought it whitout branding?
Sorry bad english and dum question but i will aks before i try.

Hi,
By installing any of the links provided by Androxyde or mine you will get the "Generic version" so you won`t get any of the telenor stuff.
So try it :p

k, sorry if this is a dumb questions, but please. Now I'm using an Xperia X10a that I managed to install Eternity 2 version 003 http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=865580). Now it says that it will support this dualtouch option but I'm slightly confused on how to install it. Now according to your guide I need to download my Firmware (which according to the link is Generic version 2.1update1 build 2.0.2.A.0.24). Now do I flash this Generic ftf then flash the Bin4ry ftf then re-flash my phone with the Eternity 2 ROM? Or if I flash the Generic ftf and then the Bin4ry ftf and my phone will still have my custom ROM and all my apps/settings? Like I'm confused on this part. Am I going to be playing re-set up everything on my phone again or? Thank you for your help :)

Tried that,3 times and each time it tells me:

Now, I've turned off my phone, and started up Flashtool (in Administrator mode,running Win7 home prem), I clicked on the Flash button, the Dualtouch ftf is the only option and it is highlighted. Tell it my phone is a x10. After this (it never seems to need a second to do anything, its all instant. Maybe my computer is fast enough) it tells me to plug in my phone and press ok the the green led is on (enter flash mode. While phone is turn off I hold the Back button and then while holding it down plug in the cable. 2-3 seconds later black screen and only the Green LED is on) I click Ok (both with or without holding the Back button) and I get that message. It wants device drivers. Noted I don`t have the Sony Xperia program installed on my laptop, do I need to have it installed? (didn't bother since I'm running custom ROM). My laptops specs are an Intel Core i7-740QM with 6 gigs of 1333 RAM and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M if that helps.

Ok, fixed it. Seems that I needed to install the file in the Flashtool/drivers folder (ggsetup-2.2.0.10). Now flashed and got the message:

which seems to be the exact problem bengtner had. Downloaded MultiTouch Tester from the market and it seems like MT was enabled on my phone. Just the tracking is a mess. Sometimes when I hold the phone on its side (landscape mode) and move one of the 2 points up (towards the camera button) it says that I'm going in the opposite direction. Is this normal for everyone or did I screw up again? If this is normal, that it isn't the prettiest MT

Installing the Companion prevented the error about not matching so that helped somewhat. At the end it still told me to go into Application settings and turn on Unknown Sources and Debugging (which they have been the whole time.) Still no MT. This guide seinsider.com/?p=5205 says something about moving files with Root Explorer, which I don't have. Or is this guide wrong? (I haven't been using its instructions, just wanted a something else to reference) All my steps are based soly on your instructions (beyond install the file in the Flashtool/drivers folder) in hopes to cause as little problems as possible for myself.

This guide is for install se roms and dualtouch. Both from se.
The dualtouch its from japanese market and doesnt work on every apps. Thats not my or your problem. Just how se release.
Forguet those apps for testing mt.
Open an image and youll see that works perfectly.
To make dualtouch run on every apps you have to follow myimortal thread and install root explorer.

Remember just one thing. This thread is ONLY to explain how to work with flashtool. Not to explain other stuff. For other stuff you can find something. Im sure. ;)

Thank you very much. Yeah, I could zoom in and out on a picture, thats why it didn't seem to do much though. Will need to follow the other guide by My_Immortal

In another words. On stock rom you`ll get 450 (more or less) and after applying this you`ll get 650 (more or less) on bechmark tests.

1. On your phone check "debbuging mode" on Setting > Applications > Development
2. Plug you USB cable
3. Press Optimize button on flashtool
4. Your phonne will reboot

Why is the "OPTIMIZE" button grayed out after I perform the flash?

I'd like to install the JIT but the "OPTIMIZE" button is grayed out.

Also, what does the "CUSTOMIZE" button do?

I also saw the battery status bar on my home screen for a short time, but now it does not show up there anymore. Any advice?

To optimize you must click on "ask root permition" first.
About your battery dont really know. One thing i know. Doesnt had anything about this tool since it doesnt do anything to framework-res, witch contains all files to your layout config

    In the beginning of the week i was contacted by G-FACE to offer his help cause he had created a thread similar to this one on a site of his country. He offered himself to translate and i´ll put the translation here.

    RECOGNIZING YOUR PHONE​

    Download the latest version of Flashtool from here: http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/ thanks to Androxyde & Bin4ry

    Install Flashtool exe file and the update file if needed.

    The first and most important thing is to be sure that Flashtool recognizes your phone:

    • Start Flashtool
    • Connect the phone with the computer via USB cabel
    • Wait till flashtool shows that your device is recognized. You will see your phone model on "Connected device:"

    If you see in “Connected device” the name of your phone model you are good to go for next steps.

    If your phone is not recognized by Flashtool that means you don’t have the required drivers installed.

    • Open folder /Flashtool/drivers and install ggsetup-2.2.0.11

    If after the above Flashtool still doesn’t recognize your phone, do the following:

    • From Flashtool/drivers folder extract the zip file XXX_ADB_driver which corresponds to your phone model
    • Open “Device manager” on the computer and find the device which is with an exclamation mark on it (do this with connected to the computer phone)
    • Right click on the device and choose Uptade driver
    • Choose to find the driver manually and browse to the folder where you’ve extracted the zip file.
    • That should install the required drivers on your computer.

    HOW TO FLASH FIRMWARE [*.ftf file]​

    • Download SE firmware in *.ftf file format and put it in Flashtool/firmwares folder

    • Start Flashtool and click the First icon: the "Lightning" icon [Flash]
    • Choose the required firmware from the list (if you have more than one ftf file in /firmwares folder you will see all of them in the list)

    • Click the OK button
    • the following screen will pop-up

    1. Unplug the USB cabel from the phone (you can leave it plugged in the PC)
    2. Turn off the phone
    3. Press and hold the "Back" button on the phone
    4. Plug in the USB cabel in the phone
    5. Release the "Back" button after the above screen disappers

    • A flashing procedure will start...

    • The program will prompt you to power on your phone
    • Turn on "Uknown scources" and "USB Debugging" (in Settings/Applications/Development)

    UNINSTALLING SYSTEM APPS​


    • Start Flashtool
    • Connect your phone to the computer and wait for flashtool to recognize it
    • Click on the "Clean" button [fourth in a row]

    • On the left side you will see all the system apps installed on the phone

    • Mark the app which you'd like to remove
    • Click the arrow pointing to the right and move unneeded apps in the right box
    • When you choose all of the apps you want to remove click the "ОК" button

    • Wait till FT removes the files
    • If needed repeat the steps above

    Tested on x10. Not sure if it'll work on other devices​

    • Get the necessary apk files that you want to install on the phone
    • Copy them to /flashtool/custom/apps folder

    • Click on the "APK installer" button [fifth in a row]

    • You will see the apps you previously put in /apps folder

    • Open the apps list on the phone and make sure that the programs are installed
