and since we are back OFF topic! i am having a heck of a time trying to use this old, tiny device for anything after being so spoiled with the gs3! its hard to type on this itty bitty screen now! funny thing is, i was hesitant to get the s3 at first because i wasnt sure id like such a large device! and here lately ive been wishing i could affird a note3! i just dont see how i used to manage with this thing!!

That's funny. My wife said the same thing when I had to setup my old myTouch 4G for her when I took her GS3 in for repairs for a cracked screen. She was glad it was only for a day!

For Your Reading Pleasure!!!!

Well guys, since I no longer have a device I can play with, I got bored and was looking around, doing some reading.
I found a few articles I thought I would share, in case anyone is interested in the topics at hand!

Here we go.....Again!!! Looks like Apple is once again trying to win us over with kindness!...yeah, right!

Hear anything about the upcoming GS5 next year?? (hint: 3 sided, curved, unbreakable, near uselessly high resolution displays.....)

And these I personally just find to be fascinating!!

Microbatteries (I have posted this before, but don't think anyone ever bothered to look at it!)

Reading all of the threads of the latest 4.3 OTA upgrade, it seems Samsung is doing a LOT to make rooting our phones harder and punishing us if we succeed (i.e. KNOX, e-fuse, etc.). It got me wondering how much of Samsung's business is coming from those who like to mod their phones?

To be honest, with all of this crap to try and prevent rooting, I think my GS3 will be my last Samsung device.

Does anybody know of any "root friendly" manufacturers?

Same here, although that might be within 5 years for me.

I just got a Nexus 7 so I don't have to worry about not being able to have the Nexus experience anymore without cyanogenmod on my phone.

Has anyone tried the latest Google wallet? Tap to pay doesn't work on my rooted phone.

What I am about to say is no way a reflection of you or your abilities, but....

Do you have NFC turned on in Settings>More>NFC?

For the longest time I left NFC turned off as I didn't need it or want to use the hack that we had going. Now that it works, I tried it not too long ago and it wouldn't work for me. Turns out, I didn't have it on. Flipped the switch and I have used it twice now.

While I would agree with you about turning on NFC, Google Wallet 2.0-R141v 14 Release from the Play Store does break the hack. Thanks to Loserskater, the updated apk was released and the NFC fixes for 4.3 are available from Sprint.

Hello guys! As most of you guys can see, I'm new around here, just got my S III couple days ago.

We have a thread like this in the HTC Glacier Forums, where users can come together and discuss life, or any other off topic related subjects.

+1. If they want to shove ads in our faces, they should create a free version for that. It's not cool to charge for an app and include ads.

Yeah not cool at all... And it was in my favorite topic section too... I cant remove it. I was like wtf is this. Like towle stated... We paid for this app... Ads are unacceptable
