Root .62 firmware solution in SK17i [XPERIA MINI PRO] (ACCIDENTLY SOLVED)

I tried the following steps, but I still can't update OTA.
This is either a regional thing or something else I am missing. I had this too on my sk17a, but after some time the OTA was available.

I suspect also some firewall issue on your router.
Anyway when downgraded from 62 to 58 with wotan I used US debranded version.
I have same regional device as yours and no problem to apply OTA over wi-fi.

1. Flash your phone to .58 firmware version
2. Root your phone using DoOmLoRd Version 4.0
3. Install CWM Installer from Android Market
or
Install CWM by any way
4. Make a Nandroid Backup
5. Update over wifi From phone
6. Done Enjoy
NO NEED OF NANDRID BACKUP, I SIMPLY SAID
NOTE: No need of unlock Bootloader

I found SK17i_4.0.2.A.0.58_GLOBAL.ftf version in another forum and I have installed it with flashtool, afther i have download "DooMLoRD_v1_UNROOTING" and now my android is unrooting.
My sk17i now have:
Android version: 2.3.4
Kernel: 2.6.32.9-perf SEMCUser@SEMCHost #1
Build: 4.0.2.A.0.58

Make sure you are connected to WiFi, start Update Center or Settings-About the phone-Software Updates(first option).
reflash gingerbread on sony ericsson sk17i
Hey guys I could really use some help i desperatly need a way to reflash a frends gingerbread on sony ericsson sk17i with a gingerbread 2.3 rom its currently locked to orange and i need to reflash and unlock this for my daughter any help would be gratly apreceated i tralled the forums but thay all refer to the u20 vershion witch is not the same i understand. thanks

Currently, the only way to remove network lock is only by paid method(WotanServer offers it).
If the OTA update doesn't work for you, try to do it over UMTS/GSM instead of WLAN, that did the trick for me
