Hi,

Im editing the framework using winrar (I have been doing it this way for months), I drag out the drawable hdpi folder, replace the images i want to, then drag it back in.

I have never signed the framework, as just editing through winrar has always worked with the MagLDR 150Mb system layout.

if you can post me a signing package I will attempt to sign it and see what happens!

download the app zipsigner from market... try a slightly larger /system if it used to work out fine for you though.... that's the only thing I can think of...

I often notice my network reception signal fluctuate. For example, when the screen is off, and I turn the phone on, I notice my reception bars go from 2 bars to 4 bars. Often people have also told me they call me sometimes and it takes them straight to voicemail. I have full reception in the area I live in...

My HD2 is unlock (I bought the factory unlock code), and I am on the AT&T network. (no dataplan)

I am sure this issue is not build/ROM specific, since it also occurred with the previous builds I was using also. However, I was hoping someone can shed some light on this problem...

Email.apk set to sync is know to cause this. Been posted here a long time ago.

Who's gonna do something about it? It's Google AOSP's bug so they own the issue (and have hordes of paid devs that work on android and everything else that goes along with it) so we have to wait for Google devs to fix it. Not even OEM's can fix this as Official AOSP based releases need to be feature perfect (fixes and bugs included) per Dianne Hackborn. (Android Dev for Google) See reply#4 on this thread.

Also, Try going to WIfi Advance Settings and set WIfi off to Never...

How about you go back to stock Windows Mobile and see if that same problem persists there. If it does, then the issue is obviously software-independent and lies either in the carrier or, in the phone's hardware (maybe with the antenna). If WinMo does not have this problem, then you can at least narrow down the search and try as stock as possible Android builds with clean installs and no configuration and user data restore whatsoever, testing only your calls.
I am aware that this is no solution whatsoever, but it is what I would do in the light of the situation.

I had this problem with the 2.0 HyperDroid build. People couldn't call me, I couldnt even get texts out. I went back down to 1.4 and everything works perfect. Try just reinstalling it, or going back down to a ROM that worked.

just a little report about battery usage with this rom:

as you can't really compare "normal" battery usage, because everyone usese the phone differently, I always thought that airplain mode overnight is the best way to compare different roms.

I had my phone in airplaine mode and did nothing with it for 12h and the battery lost only 3 percent!!!

of course, during day, with using the phone constantly battery is draining faster. but I always meassured the roms this way to better compare them and this is the best result I ever had!

I've encounter a new problem that wasn't exist in my previous MDJ and Typhoon roms. It seems that not all apps showing up on the market. for example try to search for FasterFix through your HD2 and see if you can find it, I couldn't.

Is there a solution for that ?

It is possible that the author has pulled the app from the market. Though you can still grab the app from the official thread here on XDA. Click on the QR code to download the APK file.

That is about normal for a default Pongster Meal....only after you start adding apps to it do you begin to have issues....out of the box normally this these are the cleanest quietest releases....and why I haunt his threads like a ghost....

At first I thought so too, and then I tried HD2 with Typhoon's rom and it did find and install it. You can even see it exists here -

I am facing the same issue, its not that the app has been pulled out.

to verify this you can go to market.android.com> find that app > click on install > the device pull down will say "this app is not compatible with your device" or something like that.

here is what i used to do, edit the build.prop and change the device model to HTC Desire HD and then restart the phone > go to market and few apps appear. dont know if this still works...coz its been quiet some time...i used this method.

Hi guys I'm having a small problem with my Time and date each time my battery is running low I generally swap it with a spare but sometimes I needing reset the time and date

But here the weird part when I turn phone on after changing the battery it's seems to be at the time and date I set it at during the last battery change

This is only happening since I changed to gingerbread never had this problem on any other builds other than gingerbread this problem is not specific to this rom happens on all gingers for me

I can find fasterfix on the market on my tmobile us account. Realize that it is meant to change the 1st NTP server to a local one to you. With the custom GPS.CONF I included 4 local and 4 global servers for redundancy in case some are down. You can fine tune further as well but beware you cannot access restricted access ntp servers (use the ntp tool to see its status). The best way is to simply edit the top four NTP servers from "us" to your country such as "europe", "cn", "au", "nl", etc.. That way you have 4 configured locally and 4 globals.

i have read a lot of forum and i haven't found answer. rom is awesome and everything else work but not GPS. Any idea what to do. Gps status is blank all the time.

Did you edit your /system/etc/gps.conf and change the "us" in the first 4 strings to your local country servers? It's in the FAQ and will GREATLY increase your lock speeds.

for me too...no matter what i do cant get gps to lock..its only prob for me on this rom..
edit: could someone upload default gps.conf i think that i f..cked up mine..

I can get a GPS lock. The first one can take anywhere up to 10minutes.

Subsequent locks are much quicker.
