Hello,
Recently, HTC One XL can be s-off:
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2155069

It needs a rooted One XL and a One XL superCID.

Problems comes out:
I am running 4.1.1 STOCK ROM on my HTC One XL(ASIAN VERSION, NOT AT&T/Rogers/Telstra), i've tried to gain SuperCID with these methods:
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1952038 (It fails on running /data/local/tmp/pwn, and CID was not changed)
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/21044952/OzMod/Spoof-CID_TELSTRA.zip (This is for TELSTRA XLs only, but seems that it requires a rooted XL)

My phone is NOT ROOTED and have the original CID(HTC__622)

So how can i SOFF my One XL now?

Thanks.

I'm going for S-OFF because i don't want to unlock my bootloader.
If i am going to unlock my bootloader, i will not S-OFF my device.

Unfortunately for s off we have to be rooted/bootloader unlocked it gets su permissions in the last step of s off process which is quite simple but a requirement is unlocked bootloader and root.. so the only way to do this on the one cl is to unlock your bootloader at HTC dev.com than blah etc... You could relock your bootloader right after s off

It will show *** RELOCKED *** instead of *** LOCKED *** if i ever unlock my phone via HTCDEV.com and tried to relock.

With s off you can set your bootloader to say anything you can put it back to "locked" instead of relocked

Just did a quick research, i found that some previous HTC phones can restore their Offical Unlock Bootloader State to "LOCKED" after then achieved S-OFF
