doesn't matter in this caseI shouldn't be installing the zips on top of each other should I?
Would someone ind posting the device, model, and name for the AT&T SGSIII? I can't seem to find the backup I made of the build.prop on my external SD. BTW, I can confirm that ROM Toolbox Lite will work for editing your build.prop files if you don't want to pay for Root Explorer.
check step 7 againStuck at adding card, but that's another thread.Thanks for your help x!
Well it was working but when I went and put my original build prop back in and restarted it just wouldn't boot. Now im nandroiding, gona try it again and hope it works.
your permissions where most likely wrong...
this will not happen if you use root explorer or adb push/pull
I was using root explorer. All I did was move it back in and overwrite the edited one.
hmm, weird.
maybe still the permissions...
or maybe a simple davlik cache clearing
has worked for others, I wonder what happened with yours. a logcat on boot would've told the story...
In case someone forgot to do a backup of their build.prop (or can't find it like I couldn't for a bit), here are the build.prop values to return your device to identifying as an SGSIII:
ro.product.model: SAMSUNG-SGH-I747
ro.product.name: d2uc
ro.product.device: d2att
adb logcat
I was using root explorer. All I did was move it back in and overwrite the edited one.
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
ro.product.name=yakju
ro.product.device=maguro
ro.product.model=htc_jewel
ro.product.name=htc_jewel
ro.product.device=htc_jewel

Try the following:
***Note*** If the ROM your are flashing is TouchWiz-based for step 5 you need to flash one of the below for your device BEFORE step 6 and then continue.
- Force Stop on Wallet app
- Clear Cache and Clear Data on Wallet app (in Application manager)
- Delete all traces of it from both locations /system/app and /data/app/ (might be called Wallet.apk too)
- Reboot
- [OPTIONAL] Flash a fresh version of your AOSP-based ROM (no wipe required)***
- Push the apk from this link and set the permissions (DO NOT OPEN IT YET!!)
- Reboot
- Open the Wallet app and set everything up
- Check what Tap and Pay says in "About" section of the app
- Confirm what happens on transaction

Changed the lines, forced stop, cleared the data, deleted the com.google.android.apps.wallet folder in /data/data, rebooted and it went through. I am not sure that all the other steps were necessary but I did so just in case there was a trigger stored in a data file somewhere.
