Not sure if this has been asked, but I have a few questions actually.
1. How much battery does knock-on consume?
2. Does KitKat really reduce the power consumption of it? If so, how?
3. Is there any way to reduce the consumption? Seems that when I have it on Android System takes up a lot.

Since I am a fan of Knock-On and have updated to KK, I can safely say that KK has reduced battery usage of Android System with Knockon turned on a lot. In fact, I went to sleep last night with phone at 100% and woke up 10 hours later with still 100% of battery.

I'm not sure how they achieved this. I can only assume they might have been polling for data earlier causing wakes or at least more frequent access to sensors, and may have switched to interrupt-based mode. I'm only speculating, but this would also explain why it works a lot better with screen off in KK.

I don't think you can reduce the impact of it yourself other than turning it off or on. Updating to KK helped me a lot though.
