Hmm, now when I flash, I'm stuck after updating BusyBox in Titanium Backup... it gets stuck when I restart the app in a "Searching application data" that goes on forever. Trying to wipe and install again to see if it fixes things.

Edit: Didn't work. Going back to stock since I can't restore my apps.

First time user/liker of this ROM. I really like the way apps horizontal scroll. I am trying to use the widgets in the Extra folder and get install errors. I tried fixing permissions with ROM Manager and get errors. Is there anything I can do to fix this one or both? I did read some posts where htc widgets couldn't be used. Is this the case here?

My wireless tether will connect to my computer but the internet doesn't work. I did a fresh install and restored apps with titanium backup. I uninstalled wireless tether and installed the one in the extras.

HTC widgets can only be used with the sense ui. It may or may not work as is I have not tested it. But you would have to install Rosie.apk (sense home) and then the widgets. But given how things are going, I'm guessing there will be signature problems there...

1 = No
2 = HTC #11 (whatever comes with rom) should we try kings new kernal)
3 = Wiped everything then flashed a fresh 2.2

2) netarchy-toastmod-4.1.9.1-havs
3) I did a fresh install of 2.2 and restored my apps with titanium backup

I'm fairly new to flashing roms, last time I upgraded (from 2.0 to 2.1) I didn't do a wipe. After flashing the rom wasn't working properly. What is the method to upgrade without losing any of my apps and data?

This rom was perfect,i would have stayed with it but every wireless tether app i ran didnt work,gave me connection problems on my laptop,i flashed different rom installed wireless tether again and all was fine,i tried this rom 4 or 5 times anad still no luck with tether.not sure why,would definatley go back to this rom if i can fix that issue in particular,if you want i can flash back to this rom(9/27) and read the log...but everything else is flawless,well...except for the hi res and tring to play game full screen....but everything else is flawless nice F****** job man.:D

Edit:If i would have went back a page i would have seen not just me with issue,sorry,ill keep reading for a fix...

1. It's working very well, stable. Wireless tether is working fine.

2. netarchy-toastmod-4.1.9.1-CFS - DC version

3. Complete wipe, cache and dalvik. Flashed clean 2.2.

i just tried again.

did a full wipe. davlik etc..

installed a fresh 2.2 version with kernal #11

connects to wifi but no internet.

damn luck i have...

He is asking if wireless tether is working not the rom.

First time I read this I also thought he was talking about the 2.2 build

EDIT:

full wipe, stock kernel.
Downloaded a terminal emulator and deleted the wireless tether that wasn't showing up with this command:

pm uninstall android.tether

I then installed the apk from the extras folder through Astro file manager.

Wireless tether is working, access control works...confirmed connection through a laptop.

Unfortunately, I have no service in this building so I won't be able to test actual speeds/connection until lunch time.

Edit2: Went to a location with an actual 3g connection and wasn't able to actually open up any webpages with the laptop. All the settings were correct and otherwise the service seemed to be working, but in the end no go.

    so the flash update has released, i am unable to install it. and a few other apps dont install correctly. Another one being the ROM Manager update.... Why may this be?

    i think that im not getting a good wipe\clean install using clockworkmod recovery.. i cannot remove it though... is it just me or does clockworkmod recovery not work with this rom?.... i mean it loads up, but i keep getting that imfamous "bootloop", every couple minutes

    I just want to say real quick while the site is up that 2.1 is close, the update link in my sig will have the URL to download in the event that the site remains unstable, so save that link now!

    Will look into the setcpu thing shortly. Anyone else run into this? Been flawless for me?
