new user here.

i have a windows 7.5 LG optimus with a keyboard,
and am the new owner of a Surface Pro with the remix cover.

Welp, hi then, I guess.

I used to use Android for a long time a few years ago, ending my tenure in about...February 2013, switching more to iOS (and, most noticeably, replacing my Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx with an iPhone 5, buuut I've slightly gotten back into the Android scene now with an N7 2013. I got an HP Slate 7 as a Christmas present from my parents, but obviously as not a parent, but as user (and something above the most casual of users), I found much of it lacking, so I got a Nexus 7.

I've never rooted Android before, but I finally went through with it on my N7, so I decided to finally register here, seeing as I might end up participating more in the community in the future.

So hi! Again!

    A slight downside of going through the site revamp 4 years ago is that, like in this instance, a lot of links in the old threads don't work and makes some of the information outdated. Just incase you haven't came across it yet, this is the new and updated new user guide - How To Navigate The XDA Forum.

    @Oswald Boelcke , or any other Senior Mod if you're quick enough 😂, as you edited the OP of the old New User Guide perhaps a link to the new one could be added to the top of the OP there? There probably won't be too many people who come across that thread first but it's happened here at least
