[Off Topic Lounge] Collection of random thoughts

After talking to conantroutman for a bit, he has given me permission to start this off topic lounge. To me this will make us inspire users "bond" more lol, instead of being with everyone else that uses this site. Conantroutman will sticky the thread and include ground rules to it. Please lets respect the rules that are given so that the thread remains opened. Enjoy guys

1st!

Going to a concert at an abandoned warehouse in Detroit, it'll be fun, kind of sketchy because in like the worst part of town, but should be fun none the less. But I got the day off of work today so I'm flashing my new nightly and enjoying the freedom.

Well, I was going to add some ground rules into your OP but I think you've got it covered

Most people are well aware of the forum rules and if they arent then they will unstuck whether its in this thread or not.

Remember folks, stick to the rules. WE ARE WATCHING!

Thanks for letting us do this Conantroutman, I think having this sticky as opposed to a whole Off-Topic subforum was a good idea.

What kind of rom are you looking for? AOSP or Sense? I've definitely been in love with CM7 Nightlies. I used the stable and the RC and they were alright, but the nightlies have been awesome for me.

Just want to say I am enjoying the change of regime. You all are really mod'ing it up, and it is an improvement. Thank you.

That's the thing I don't know what I want. Both aosp and sense have their pros and cons. This is what happens when we have great devs that spoil us with so many great roms. I'm a fat kid in a candy store

Ok guys just wanted to pop in,and say that I hope you guys like your place to blow off steam.

As for the rules we all should know them so I wont bother reposting them. As some of you know me from the captivate I will follow suite here. Yes this is off topic but keep it nice and clean. If you wouldn't want your kids reading it then don't post it. Now back to you regular scheduled off topic thread.

i was on sense up until i started on gingerbeast. i ABSOLUTELY LOVE it. Battery life is great, it's fast, its smooth, its clean. No program incompatibilities or programs crashing. it's really nice. and the only tihng i really missed was a proper dialer with t9 and both dialer one and go contacts/dialer solve that problem. i'd highly recommend it if you want something clean, but the only caveat is that di11igaf, the guy that made the rom, left att recently

he has promised us an update, but tehre's no telling when it will come out.

as for me, i'm trying to decide between ARHD 5 and stock rooted. arhd juts has a bunch of stuff and mods so i've found it to be slower than i like, but stock rooted is only froyo :\

anyways, back to off-topic - nothing big going on tihs weekend so i have time to relax with my family

I would suggest rumrunner. It is pretty much a stock gingerbread build tailored for the inspire.

This weekend for me will consist of plenty of job hunting. Damn unemployment.....

The worst part of Detroit? I think that qualifies as the worst place in America. This weekend I'm taking my wife to the Oregon Coast for our anniversary. Since summer finally arrived in the PNW, I figured it's time to get outside. I may even leave my Inspire turned off. Dun dun duuuunnnnn!
