I'm a little confused about "losing root" Di you just have to flag SuperSU in twrp?
Why isn't the rom just pre-rooted? Thanks
Yes just flash the superuser.zip and change the root access in developer options as stated a few post above.

Try this zip. You also need to switch root access to apps&adb in developer options

And nice work op on bringing this to users.

I'm looking in developer options, and I don't see where it is to change those settings.

Go to setting > about tablet > scroll down > click build number few times > u should see unlocked developer settings
I've already done that, I have developer options, but within developer options I don't see any options to change apps & ADB.
Look in superuser settings, the 1st option is security, then superuser access, change to apps and adb. But doing that didn't help for me at least

Never mind, under developer options, select root access, change to apps and adb as previously stated
Does the "select root access" not show up until after flashing the ROM? On the stock ROM, I don't see it under developer options.
OK, so it looks like it doesn't show up, until after flashing the ROM, thanks. How did you pull up that menu? Did it just automatically pop up?

Select root is a CM feature... Flash the ROM than tap on build number a bunch of times to expose dev settings and profit

It doesn't show up as a media device on my computer either. Its not a pressing issue for me and it should be worked out as development picks up.

First, did you flash the SU?
If so, it is the 8th option down the list in Dev options. Called "Root Access". Click that and change it to "Apps and ADB".
I've attached the SU zip for your convenience.
