Just my 2p worth, flashed this using the full official UK rom over the top of my rooted Defy with the leaked UK build 3.4.2-117 using RSD Lite. Didn't bother wiping the settings or anything just flashed it right over as-is and its working great, all my old apps still there and fine.

I did loose root but the same SOC solution I used on the 3.4.2-117 build worked no bother at all:

Deodexing doesn't improve "smoothness" (performance), quite the contrary. It merely makes apps easier to mod (and identify).

I flashed this and noticed the internet doesn't work. Fix to this?

Sent from my MB501 using XDA App

Mb501? Defy by levis? This is old and pretty untested. Go to sbf topic, check for latest 2.2.2 most probably hk or sea, wipe data and cache and reflash. Root and then use baseband switcher to fix 3g. Also add your apn.

Thanks for this, my UK froyo was messed up due to bloat freezer being pulled from the market and no amount of factory resetting would put it right. Doing a full flash sorted it though thanks.

OK I've flashed this sbf after having suspend issues on CM7 & this is the first official froyo build I've tried (previous ones were leaked sbf's) & it seems to be running great.

So far I've done:
walter79's deblur mod,
installed 2nd init bootmenu for overclock & recovery,
installed the froyo 1% battery mod.

So no issues for me yet :)
