[TUT] Build your own XPERIA S Advanced Lockscreen

All files in a zip ready to build XPERIA S Advanced Lockscreen for all CM7 LDPI ROM: http://www.mediafire.com/?a49r624r5892ynz

You can use these files to mod your own framework.res.apk.

First head over to my thread her [SCHOOL] How to start to become a dev, and download X10MP_essentials_v3.zip and set up framework. Just follow my instructions there.

When all done, you will have a folder like this:

Lockscreen-TUT-01_zps9f1b3209.png

Now copy the framework-res.apk file from your ROM to the APK Tool folder (overwrite the exsisting file).

Then open Command Prompt (CMD) and type in this command

Code:
apktool d framework-res.apk

This will decompile framework-res.apk.

After the decompile, you will have a new folder named framework-res.

Lockscreen-TUT-03_zps205eacd5.png

Now copy PNGs and XMLs from the Build package to the folder with the decompiled framework-res.

Remember to manually edit ids.xml.

When done type in this command in the Command Prompt:

Code:
apktool b framework-res

Lockscreen-TUT-04_zps3947c2c5.png

This will recompile everything back into a new framework-res.apk, placed in the dist folder.

Final step is to copy the folder META-INF and the file AndroidManifest.xml from original framework-res.apk to the modded one.

Open the original and modded framework-res.apk in two WinRAR (or alike), and drag and drop the folder and the file from original to modded.

META-INF_zps91f5ee1e.png

make sure you select Store (uncompressed).

That is it. Now you got your own modded framework-res.apk, ready to use in your ROM. You do not need to sign the apk or copy any other files into the apk.

You can use this flashable zip to make your own flash: Framework-flasher.zip

To move your new framework-res.apk onto the zip, use File Explorer (do not unzip/rezip).

From File Explorer just drag and drop framework-res.apk into the framework folder in the zip (overwriting exsisting file).

This works great, but is it possible to remove "Unlock", "Sound off" and etc. messages while unlocking? (And place battery, carrier and etc on top like on old version of lockscreen?)

I knew this request would come.. yes.. I will remove the text-labels :good: (custom app label can not be removed)
I will also have in mind to place battery on top next to carrier...
