I just tried flashing this from within TWRP, but I am getting an error related to build-prop; I think I modified it awhile back for Wallet use, but returned it to its previous state.

What exactly should my build prop have in it to allow this to flash? Here is what I have:
ro.product.model=SCH-I605
ro.product.name=t0ltevzw
ro.product.device= t0ltevzw
ro.build.product= t0ltevzw

Can i just unzip and use dd from android terminal emulator? if so what is the target partition for the i605?

Thanks!

Here is the TWRP log:

I just tried flashing this from within TWRP, but I am getting an error related to build-prop...

..Can i just unzip and use dd from android terminal emulator? if so what is the target partition for the i605?

The TWRP log I posted above seems to indicate the recovery partition as:
/recovery | /dev/block/mmcblk0p9 | Size: 8MB

..anybody care to confirm this before I really bork something by trying this?

Thanks. ;D

EDIT AGAIN:

..extracting the recovery.img and using dd worked (copied recovery.img to root of "internal storage"):
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p9

Hey all, anyone who might be able to give some help would be greatly appreciated. I've been unable to backup and restore any 4.3 Rom. It seems that when it gets to data it always fails? I love Philz recovery and I'm sure I'm just missing something. Thank you ahead of time for any thoughts and or suggestions!

I've actually run into the same thing, and thought it was just me.

Do you have this enabled in recovery?

Thanks for the response guys. Yea I do have that enabled. I made sure of it and same results. So I take it you are able to backup and restore just fine? If so there must be something I'm missing or not doing correctly so maybe I'll just play around with it

will the verizon version be updated to the latest version that was put out on 12/28 or does that not apply to us? Thanks for a great recovery!

I'll keep messing with it and just keep hopes up then.. but just to make sure we are on the same page, you ARE able to backup and restore 4.3 ROMS???

I'm having the same issue right now. I can't wipe or access the SD card using Phil's recovery. Anyone found a way around this?

I'm having the same issue right now. I can't wipe or access the SD card using Phil's recovery. Anyone found a way around this?

EDIT UPDATE: Issue appears to be with how Philz accesses the external SD Card. If you install the newest CWM it allows you to use "external sdcard" as your external storage. PhilZ appears to use "storage/sdcard1" which causes it to get stuck when it can't find it.

automatic reboot after any wipe

Okay I have been through most of the posts and cannot find a mention of this issue.
I have installed the latest version of Philz for the vzw note 2. (2013/11/30) Works great I am up and running Nephilim.emj9.v2.5 4.3 rom.
however, When you do any wipe, complete for new rom or just data or reset or cache or delvik the phone reboots as soon as the wipe is finished. Depending on where you are you have to reboot again into recovery to install rom or rewipe. I don't remember this happening with either CWM or Twerp. Is the reboot after wipe fixable or is this on purpose?

Thanks for all the great work it is always appreciated.

Download Mode

So I'm posting with a strange inquiry about getting into Download Mode.

My phone appears to be recognized by Odin 3.0.7 (COM5) when it's booted up. But when I reboot into Download Mode, it doesn't show up in Odin.

I've tried this, and tried each of these drivers with my phone in Download Mode plugged in:

http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=41294112&postcount=63

I installed the stock Samsung drivers from the Note 2 Toolbox. I don't have any 'Unknown Devices'. All of my searches seem to lead to people having 'Unknown Device' or the wrong driver. I don't believe that I do. libusbK looked like it was fine and working, and shows up in Device Manager, but not in Odin.

Windows 7 64-bit. Just looking to troubleshoot for the future here. Tried multiple USB cables, with the same result.

I managed to flash this recovery from my old Recovery (TWRP). Very clean, and very effective. Thank you for it!

Has this recovery been updated to work with the new changes made to the SD card block on 4.3 and able to recognize or change to the location I want? I can't seem to find the newest CWM recovery anywhere and making it on the CWM website just fails every time, I'm assuming because it's trying to make an .img file and we can't fastboot flash any .img files. If this isn't updated can someone point me to the newest CWM so I cna finally update to 4.3 :)

Dang, I always forget about ROM Manager. I don't like using automated stuff to flash so I normally don't even think about them lol Thanks though! going to go get RM now.

I agree, I don't use it unless absolutely necessary. We used to call it ROM mangler because all the noobs that had never manually flashed their phones would have issues and had no clue how to fix it. So they'd come in the cyanogen irc channel crying. Ah, the good old days. ;)

Back on topic. :)
