[Q] Problem Installing a Rom?! Help Pls.

hi i have a T-Mobile GS2 and it have a stock gingerbread.
i want to try a jellybean or kitkat rom. so i search roms that i can use and i found BLACKLIQUID | LINARO 4.8.2 i tried to install it. but it just stock in bootanimation. so i just wanna know how i can install it properly and make it work on my phone. the Thread is Closed. i don't know where to ask this questions. sorry if there are rules that i broke ;)

i have a T-Mobile Galaxy S2 (sgh-t989) with stock gingerbread but it's rooted.
with CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.6

Baseband version

Kernel version

You need to update recovery. I'd say the best bet is twrp 2.6.1.0. Though I haven't flashed my s2 in awhile....maybe a newer version is better? Last I checked 2.6.1.0 was best.

Then the newer ROMs should flash fine. ;)

Make sure to follow the ROM flash instructions to the letter.

I'd say nandroid first....but you'd have to flash twrp first, then do it. But I'd have Odin and a stock 4.1.2 image ready just in case. In fact....I'd Odin 4.1.2 first. Then flash twrp and root. Nandroid backup after. Then flash ROMs.


Read up good though....I'm not there, so I don't warranty this advice. Lol. ;)

have you tried rebooting it- maybe clear cache in recovery
