CM10 -> Safir ?

Hi,

I run CM10 nightly builds and want to switch to Sapir.
When I try todo this I get an error.

Is there any howto ( url ? ) that show the steps ?

how about restocking whats that for is that necessary

Let me rephrase for you:
how about restocking? whats that for? is that necessary?

Next time please use punctuation.

Restocking means going back to stock, in this case to a stable GB based rom made by Samsung.
Yes, it is necessary for most people to ensure the same baseline to start a good installation, one that everyone can help verify if you have a problem.
Also if you have CM10 from the official and nightly, it uses a new mtd layout which is incompatible with Sapir mtd layout (same as cm9 mtd layout), you need to restock first to use Sapir rom.

Important heads-up:

Next build (22nd) will WIPE your data.

But, worry not. Please follow the following procedure before installing:
  1. Perform nand backup from the recovery
  2. Install Sapir
  3. Install gapps
  4. Reboot
  5. Reboot to recovery
  6. Advance restore only data

I just tried it twice and it's working.
Boss, is that containing 'individual DPI' changer?:)

Just to verify - after tonight - when CM moves to this partition layout too, both layouts will be compatible. But - contrary to CM10, this procedure will allow you to save your data.

Also, new build is out.

    CM10 based ROM from CyanogenMod Gerrit.
    Credit goes to cyanogen, the CyanogenMod dev team, and the CM maintainers for the devices.

    My plan is to keep refreshing the nightlies.

    This is for P1000 GSM.

    Directly from CyanogenMod forum:
    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

    Dear Erez,
    When are you going to publish an update? I'm really interested in it :)

    He has barely been on the website since the seventh of December, a few times in January for Windows stuff. I'm pretty sure this is been abandoned.

    Hi Guys,

    I really have to apologise. The project has not been abandoned, just neglected.
    I'm swamped at work, and don't have the time to update it at the moment, but I'm doing my best to return to it - currently trying to compile my changes back into the 4.2.x code.
