Luckily, I haven't experienced any issues using V4A with play music. Honestly I probably wouldn't use it, but the free cloud storage of 20,000 songs is too good to pass up. That's what's great about this mod, you can use whatever player tht you like & V4A will work it's magic and make it sound fantastic.
Cheers

Well I noticed that if you have XHiFi installed and the drivers for it then some FX settings disable/disappear.

Running PA 3.99 with latest faux JWR kernel (stock plus) and this just fixed all my low volume/ poor audio quality complaints. I can finally hear my music being streamed to my car stereo. I have installed DSP mods to previous phones I've owned but nothing comes close to comparing to this. Simply amazing!

... just an fyi for anyone that would like....
You can use this mod and play all 20, 000 Google music tracks through poweramp or your favorite music player; most are supported; and bypass Google play music altogether. V4A mod works great with it too. I use it and its great. Just throwing this out there. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2169761

Awesome, thanks for sharing!!!! Just installed, synced my library & works perfectly. Simple and sweet! Works well with poweramp, N7, and walkman......those are the only players I've tried and they all work with not a single issue. Thanks k's again for sharing this link.
Cheers

Is "Google play music" the name of the player with 20,000 song capacity on a cloud?
Is it free or is it just for music you bought from Google Play?

nah, ive never bought from google. i just uploaded a fraction of my music from my pc to google.play.music. (their website) and it streams through the player. and now we are using any player to stream our library. and it only caches 200mb max on the sd. i just didnt like goole play musics' sound so i use power amp and walkman. tryit out bobdoblo!! oh... IT FREE TOO!

Sorry for not answering sooner, bad day yesterday...

I'm very close to you, n4, cataclysm (very nearly stock 4.3)... And for me works fine, so we should get it for you!

I'm using it as user (no root install), and normal mode, so should not be big problems for you.

Let's try that. So that now it fails completely for you, I would do that (if fails, tell me and I'll give next steps).

1. Check you have SuperSu 1.51. It's the only root working fine but now. Even flash it again just in case it was bad during previous flash

2. Download again last v4a fx.

3. Uninstall driver from v4a, then uninstall app. Remove Viper4Android folder from sdcard.

4. Reboot

5. Extract the apk for v4a fx 4.3 from zip and install it as user, simply clicking in explorer.

6. Run v4a fx to install driver (a8). Reboot

7. Check you are in normal mode (no safe, no compatible. If needed, change and reboot).

8. Choose v4a in music effects

9. Play some music and change some effects in v4a. Tell me is its working and changing sound, or which problems do you have.

I'm sure we'll get it!
