[9-JUL] [ROM-23004] [UC-READY] NEW V-LITE 4.3 COBALT HARDCORE EDITION FINAL (Stable)

BEFORE FLASHING READ the README.TXT FIRST included with the release!

Flash:

- Uncompress the downloaded RAR file to the ROOT of the storage card :
1) Kovsimg.nbh
2) sdconfig.txt
3) V-LITE folder that contains 45 applications as CABs
4) readme.txt

- Make sure you have at least 30% battery left before flashing this ROM

- Bring x1 to boot-loader mode by turning off the x1 completely. Hold the "volume down" button on the right, and hold the power on button until you see the tri-color screen.

- Then follow the on-screen instruction (press Power button to start flashing...)

- Optionally Hard Reset after flashing by pressing the front left and right button (silver buttons) and then press power button.
Once the mobile vibrate release the power button and keep pressing the 2 left and right button (silver buttons) until instructions appear.
Press [R] then Space as per on screen instruction.

- During first boot proceed with Screen Calibration, Region and Password settings.

- Then Customization starts:
UC customization lasts this time longer, once the last app is installed press the OK Button if needed (the last app to be installed is AEButtonPlus so when the AEButtonPlus screen is shown click on "OK" button).

NOTE: BE PATIENT WITH UC CUSTOMIZATION IT TAKES ABOUT 15 MINS

- After powering off and rebooting, let the auto Setup Connection screen appears. Complete the Setup Connection then RESTART

- ENJOY

- SYS : ROM is based on the last XIP 23004 and SYS 23004 with optimization.

- OEM: based on latest RHODIUM OEM 1.19c released by Jerpelea (big thanks), NO MANILLA TOUCHFLO and SE PANELS STUFF, and latest MODULES from SEUS R3A and New Topaz Drivers.

- UC: Opera 9.7b1 included among the 45 cabs will be installed automatically with this release.

ALL cabs are optimized to run with V-LITE roms and they have been reorganized as well SO PLEASE INTALL THIS LATEST UC PACKAGE CABs and NOT a previous version from previous release for better performance.

DEFAULT ORDER OF INSTALLATION OF CABS IS IMPORTANT, YOU CAN REMOVE THE CABS YOU DO NOT NEED by editing SDConfig.txt BUT DO NOT CHANGE THE ORDER OF CABS INSTALLATION.

Note 1: SYS, OEM and ALL UC CABs are heavily tweaked to run faster.

Note 2: BEFORE FLASHING OR HARD RESET if you wish to not install any titanium plug in for example so edit SDConfig.txt and remove all cabs you do NOT wish to pre install after flashing or hard reset.

V-LITE COBALT HARDCORE series is running smoother and faster than any other previous versions I have released and as the edition name suggests this ROM is HARDCORE TUNED oriented (no Manilla Touchflo and no Sony Ericsson Panels since Day 1)

UNRAR the release to your Storage Card ROOT :

\Storage Card\V-LITE\CAB\...
\Storage Card\SDConfig.txt
\Storage Card\Kovsimg.nbh

Flash then Hard Reset as explained in 1st post.

Notes:
- CABS that need a manual confirmation need to between HIDE tags (enable then disable) in the SDConfig.txt file.
- In my example included with the rar file, AEButtonPlus program needs the user to click on OK button to complete the install so this cab needs to be called within HIDE tags
- For the other cabs that do not require manual intervention can be declare withing LOCK tags.
- Do not forget to add RST: Reset at the end of the SDConfig.txt file.

- Untick "Enable faster data synchronization" for active sync if you are syncing with XP

- Complete the Automatic Connection Setup for 3G network (selection pop up automatically shown) before using any application that requires Data connection

- Run Titanium Weather Update after the Automatic Connection Setup so at next Restarts the Mortscript pop up wont appear again

- Use cHome Editor included with this release to organize your TITANIUM plug ins as you wish. Do not forget to SAVE and click on EXIT (and NOT OK button) for the changes to reflect.

- Use reStart included with this release to organize your START menu icons as you wish.

- Almost all applications released with this rom can be uninstalled from Start>Settings>System>Remove Programs as more than 40 extra apps are pre installed via UC.

- change regional settings to yours (e.g: English (UK)) then restart time should be syncing automatically after restart (if not you can run the SynchroTime application included in this rom under Start Menu>Tools>SynchroTime)

- in fileexplorer, go to menu, then "view options" then select "icon" for a better finger friendly experience.


- For YouTube I notice on some rom you need to do this :
1) open Opera
2) click on any link to go on the web (so your data connection starts)
3) Enjoy YouTube

- Note that in V-LITE TITANIUM roms PANEL button is already assigned to show the START MENU.

- X1 has plenty of storage so do not have a taboo to install all your cabs on device (especially with UC you can install them automatically in one go easily) and use your storage for personal files as movies, pictures, docs, cabs installation files, ...!

- Remember the more you use the more it will be fast as caching is in place...

This rom I cooked is fast, light (35% memory usage) and without panels and stuff that never worked or used by most users.

Admins will feel free to move this thread to another place if needed or when something has been agreed but not just suggested by you.

yeah i know it is high as i dont know the optimum page pool, i have read some benchmarking and none came up with a optimum value and max value is not hurting

I have released the V-LITE version of the last wm6.5 21501 official rom.
This version is using mostly Rhodium packages, it has the task manager, the battery with percentage display (SEX1), sound volume enhancer(SEX1),...

Screenshots are now posted as well!
