This method works on Motorola phones running Android OS 2.3.4 or earlier
works on atrix too. confirmed.

from the replies, this method does not work on:
Hong Kong/Taiwan model (ME860)
Bell 2.3.6

this other method claims to work on 2.3.6 and ME860

I have a dumb question. I just changed from tmobile with the G2x to the atrix. I had my G2x rooted and I'm thinking of rooting the atrix. I used superonclick to root my G2x can someone tell me if I can use it with the atrix.

Verified it works on an Atrix about 20 minutes ago.

Any way to way this work on a Mac? I tried my wife's PC yesterday but couldn't get it to work on it for some reason

verified for root and unroot of atrix 4g droid 2.3.4 build 4.5.91. Just do not use for system app restore.

I can confirm it is working on my Atrix (gingerbread). Titanium backup installed and working.
