we have LPF why now is india LP8 so which is newer

How's the performance and stability? Care to share some screenshots?

I was running Malaysian ICS before and I don't see any difference on the performance.

I changed the CSC, so all the data is wiped now. Try to setup the phone now.

Here are screenshots

Don't know why these threads were merged, totally different topics. At least we should change the title.

    Gentlemen,

Today for Samsung Galaxy Note, the Ice Cream Sandwich update is out, I got my initial 36 MB of upgrade via OTA Version-2.6.35.7 -N7000DDLC1, But then I connected to my laptop, it still says I cant update via kies.

    169.photobucket.com/albums/u225/adux21/20120524_084529.jpg

I have noticed something peculiar, please look at the version it says as posted on the pic, (XXX) but it used to be (INU) and I hear Indian Area Sales code for Samsung is (INU),

How can I fix my Kies problem, and then get my update, I dont want to do anything that will make me loose my warranty.

I am not technical at all, I am not as intelligent as you guys on these sort of things. I have searched quite a bit all over internet to find an answer for it, Now I really want it , since I really want the ICS.
If that is problem then you shud not get LC1 too.
Anyway If you update using PC odin, you not voiding warranty. (rooting does it, so dont root if you dont want to lose.)

    Dr. Ketan

I first flashed my note with LPY and later with LPF (both using PC odin as explained by you).

    Currently I am on:
    Baseband:N7000XXLR1
    Kernel: N7000ZSLPF-CL558430
    Build: IML74K.ZSLPF

As per your instructions 1a, how do I set my CSC to INU and change to Indian ICS.

I am having a huge battery drain problem on both LPY and LPF.

    Thanks in advance.

Flash LP8 Indian ROM with PC odin, it shud change. If not, then type this
    *#272*IMEI#
    select INU and install.
On LP8. When navigated to system folder it shows only 20MB free and some 800MB is being used. Is it normal?
    It is normal.

    Hi Dr. Ketan,

    Hope u r doing good!

M currently on the LPF ICS ROM - installed with bootloader and all that, with re-partitioning! So if i'm to follow ur pre installation, i'l be downgrading from ICS to GB. But i'v read on several threads that this downgrade is forbidden due to problems.

Pl confirm if i may safely proceed with pre installation or must i strictly avoid it???
I was also on newer bootloader and did wat i have explained.
Wipe/reset is dangerous on ICS, so for clean installation revert to GB is recommended. There is no harm to flash GB (if your data is currupted, watever you follow it give you brick)
and hard reset/wipe have no issue on GB.
    So i suggested
    revert to GB
    Wipe/reset
    Flash clean ICS

For those, who don't want clean installation, can follow 1b instruction as on OP
