[MOD][5.0.2/4.4.x] SMS and WiFi Hotspot for the Nexus 7 3G (2012)

I updated it for 5.1.1.
I can't check if it works since I dont use a Nexus 7 anymore.
What this zip changes:
-modified framework-res/res/values/arrays.xml to allow tethering
-framework-res/res/values/bools.xml prefer dual pane preferences set to true
-remove BasicSmsReceiver
In the attachments you will find the tethering mod and a zip to return to stock.

Sms support is already present on stock Lollipop.
Install an Sms app from playstore (like this one). Go to settings->more->default sms app (or sth like that) and select your app.
Dont forget to disable BasicSmsReceiver (or stop its notifications) unless you want 2 notifications for each message you get! Installing the above zip will remove it completely.

I can confirm wi-fi tethering works on LMY47V with this patch, thanks very much. USB tethering does not work, I seem to remember reading somewhere that the lollipop kernel is missing something but I can't remember what or where I read this.

I still have my Nexus 7 on Kitkat 4.4.2, and I still have SMS via 8sms working, apparently. I didn't use it for that for a long time but my phone has died, so I've put the SIM in the Nexus.
Is there a way to dial a number, or can it only do SMS? It would be nice if I could dial the service number to get a balance (from Three Mobile), without visiting their website, if nothing else. The number is 444.
I can press the MOBILE button next to it in the contacts list in the People app, and the screen changes, then there's a dialling beep of some sort, but it just switches back again. That seems to be the case for any number - I can initiate an SMS, via 8sms, from there, but not a call.

49SMS and WiFi Tethering on Nexus 7 3G (2012)
This mod can be flashed via TWRP or CWM recoveries on odexed and deodexed stock based ROM's and will enable SMS and Tethering options in Settings. By default SMS will appear in Hangouts as per the Nexus 5.
Revert is only for stock odexed users. Should you need to restore a deodexed ROM simply reflash it.

If you want pure WiFi tethering and no SMS then use @xtoudi's mod, found here;

For USB tethering, you will need a kernel with RNDIS included, @kloon15 has compiled a stock one here although I don't know if this has been updated for Lollipop.
