Just wanted to know from those users who rooted 4.2.2 that after upgrading to kitkat via ota or via kdz method

does it still show rooted in downloader mode even after flashing stock 4.4.2 file ?

does mobile has to be in download mode before we press normal web upgrade in r&d test tool ?

i guess it is because of baseband
there are two different basebands for JB and KK.

Subbed for updates on proper root for KK... fortunately I don't have anything really crucial that requires it, but several things that are an annoyance without root. Did the Telus OTA update yesterday and never even thought about it breaking root *sigh*

My bell phone wouldn't let me do the ota for kit Kat because I rooted the phone. No recovery installed though. Just root. I hooked it up to the computer and used the web upgrade tool and it did the kit Kat update but I lost root.

I'm in the same boat as several others now. Was rooted, took the OTA, lost root.

Hopefully someone can figure it out. I'll buy a beer.

So fail lol.. Been more than 1 month and there is still no exploit found for root? Is anyone actually working to find one or is everyone just sitting on their buts till LG closes this loophole where you downgrade to 4.2.2 root, flash 4.4.2???? I'm dieing here without root.
