Not sure why you turn off GPS - If you don't want GPS on, just don't run an app that uses it (or set the options in the app to not use it) - As GPS is in standby until an application requests it, you don't use any battery.
You sure about this ?
Besides doesnt the browser constantly look for your location ?
Installed yesterday on my htc wildfire (rooted but with original htc rom)
not working; I have used international prefix for trusted phones, I have received confirmation SMS , but when I send command SMS to my wildfire it seems to do nothing
Removed.
I'm just thinking - Given that people clearly wish to test the application but are having issues, if the developer wanted to add some debugging output, would anyone be willing to run a debugging version, to help the developer find out these issues on different devices/roms/environments ??
1. How could I start a GPS (on rooted device) being a system app.
Good question, I've been trying to find a good developer site that covers root level development as well, as that clearly won't be in the rather terrible Android developer site docs.
Was thinking more about a possible debug release. I've a feeling that what some users are running into are either going to be custom rom related, or from other applications clashing with yours (like anti-virus etc) - So a debug version would most likely need to gather ROM information, together with other installed apps - So you'll need to find some rather dedicated beta tests for that as many are far too paranoid to let you gather that level of detail.
My problem is not related to the application itself, but to my configuration I guess. I ask your help anyway.
When I restart the phone and I'm prompted for activation I have only few seconds before the home screen pops up. Thus I'm not able to fill the form and finish the activation. Obviously there is no way to go back to TC screen, neither with the back button
I have Cyano 6.1 RC1 with launcher pro. At bootup adw (built in) launcher pops up, LP pops up when I first hit the home button.
Is there any ways to have more time to activate?
Thanks a lot

Actually, I'd consider it a bug - Activation shouldn't happen during the start-up notification but on first 'real' application run.
I installed and restarted the phone multiple times and has yet to get this program to activate. Can someone please help...
Ok. Please deactivate any firewall / anti virus or any startup blocking software if you are having.
Then restart and wait for few minutes... if still doesn't show up, write here...

I deactivated Lookout, un-installed and re-installed TC, and restarted my phone again. And still nothing is happening.
Actually only a suppressing 3rd party app can do such thing. Otherwise, TotalCare works good. (atleast till activation). I don't know that the problem is, but i guess its the firewall thats causing the problem...
I dont mean to insult you but seriously?! If you would have read the instructions properly you would see a link to the site. On the site you go to features. Then read "easy to use" which you can find in the middle of the page. If you still dont understand then you should get an iPhone.Ok i don't understand...
1) install from Market (ok)
2) reboot device (ok)
and now? i dont't find app in drawer and after reboot i don't see any screen for activation...
Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 euorpea, Froyo jp5 , rooted, ROM ZeroBlaster 0.4.1
Thanks for all your support... A new update will come soon which will remove the control phone country code dependency and hence will work for all of you...
I hope I'll be able to finish it by next week...
Here's the preview...
