wow you are so awesome zeppelinrox!!! thanks a bunch, you know , you are the only reason I'm still using my milestone, with your tweaks it makes this phone usable keep it up and keep it coming mate!
Sure you can. I applied this over Cronos 1.4.0, MIUI, etc. Everything works fine.You can apply this over a rom with ext2 right? I read somewhere about not applying any scripts?

You arent supposes to run other app2ext scripts because running 2 of them will cause obvious confusion.You can apply this over a rom with ext2 right? I read somewhere about not applying any scripts?

I thought you were on cronos?

I'm using kabaldan's first cm7 app2ext script which also puts dalvik cache on ext2

On cm7 at 1100 mhz, Balanced 3 SuperCharge and VM heap of 40 mb, I got:
LinPack. = 15.218 MFLOPS,
Quadrant = 1626,
SmartBench 2011 = 971/991
I see.The file backs up, but the values do not change in the new init.mapphone_umts.rc file. It seem's to be a problem with Eybee's ROM as I have another version of .6.10 and it works fine.
I tried various standard settings on my Evo with limited success, but basically Launcher Pro was still frequently getting killed. I tried these custom settings and I think my Launcher is finally very resilient! Thank you so much for all of this!
Any chance you will release a script with these "EVO friendly " settings built in?
Which setting did you use?I have a quick question. I've recently applied the script to an AOSP ROM for my Droid Eris and I've seen a great increase in performance. The only problem that I've seen is that my materialistic text battery% widget and beautiful weather widget don't update unless I reboot LauncherPro my self in the menu. I applied the HTK launcher script not the Bullet proof one as recommended.
Hope to get a simple answer from someone soon
Thanks for amazing script zeppelinrox!
It doesn't look like the settings are sticking.Fyi, the next day my launcher proved to be pretty easy to kill and has remained so.
If I run the script it shows my settings are still "hard to kill" memfree shows 14,16, 24,28,30,32.
Suggestions?
Lock home in memory was disabled both in Launcher Pro and CM7. The minfrees I entered were the EVO ones you suggested earlier. Wasn't quite sure how to have Script Manager load /system/etc/init.d/99SuperCharger at boot. Willing to try anything.Which setting did you use?

Is lock home in memory enabled? If so, disable that.
I assume those minfrees are not the ones that you entered.
Have you tried having Script Manager load /system/etc/init.d/99SuperCharger at boot?

Now copy /sdcard/services.odex to /system/framework and overwrite the original (backed up, yes?) services.odexCreate a new services.odex file from the new services.jar file:
In terminal, type: cd /sdcard, enter, dexopt-wrapper services.jar services.odex $BOOTCLASSPATH, enter.
Here's the "special sauce": copy over the "signature" from the current .odex file into the new .odex file. do NOT continue until this command succeeds!
Hint: the file size of the new services.odex file should not change!
In terminal, type: busybox dd if=/system/framework/services.odex of=/sdcard/services.odex bs=1 count=20 skip=52 seek=52 conv=notrunc
