Hi
After unlocking bootloader, flashing nAa ics kernel (flashtool), MiniCM9 and last gapps in cwm my phone will not start miniCM9.
After nAa logo phone reboots.
Tried reflashing both kernel and rom but same result every time.
Installed SE original firmware (2.1.1.A.0.6) and checked if bootloader really was unlocked and it is. Flashed nAa kernel again, wiped data and installed everything once more but still reboot after nAa logo.
Downloaded all files a second time only to be sure they are ok.
So what i`m i doing wrong?

TIA

Do it in this order flash nAa-ics-04 kernel boot to recovery, do full wipe install MiniCM9 3.0.3 after install finishes dont reboot flash gapps and then reboot and that should work...

I had exactly the same problems as you.

But once I did it: In the 2.1 rom I root the phone. After I installed with v28 Gingerdx ALFS kernel, and then went to NAA-ICS and installed the rom;)

It worked!

After I did this:
delete the data / factory reset
clear cache
Advanced> Cache clean Dalvik
assembly and storage> format / system
sdcard backup format sdcard, rom + paste GAPPS and things you need (and not the folders related to android)
install rom
install GAPPS
restart
not restore anything, no titanium or nothing
enjoy

Flashed nAa-ics-04 kernel, booted into recovery, full wipe, flashed miniCM9, unmarked reboot and flashed gapps but still reboot after nAa logo.
Pretty frustrating.
Any more ideas?

TIA

Awesome !
Used Mini CM9 from the first version on my X8, but I did not expect that it will be so far away that we will have a 90% efficient ICS Rom;) Thank you Nobodyatall:p

Try to reboot, or you can google how to manually mount the ext4 partition.

    Requirements:

    Instructions:
    • Download the MiniCM9-xxx.zip from the release link that follows
    • Backup your /data contents: contacts, apps, sms, etc. or backup via recovery
    • Move the MiniCM9-xxx.zip to the root folder of your sdcard. Download the suggested Google Apps for CM9 from here (check http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ if you want to experiment with other gapps versions)
    • Make sure you are using the nAa-ics kernel
    • Enter CWM and:
      - Select 'backup and restore -> Backup'
      - Select 'wipe data/factory reset' (MUST DO)
      - Flash the MiniCM9-xxx.zip. To do this, Select 'install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard' and select the MiniCM9-xxx.zip
      - Flash gapps in the same way
    • Reboot (first boot will take ~2 mins)
    • Once your device has booted, you can use the nAa notification to register for upcoming updates. This way you can get update notifications on new versions of MiniCM9 and the nAa-ics kernel!

Please make sure you followed the above steps before reporting any issues, especially 'wipe data/factory reset'

    MiniCM9 Visuals

    MiniCM9 Theme:

MiniCM9 theme, is the valid successor for MiniCM6 and MiniCM7 legacy.
It is designed as close as possible to the original specs of ICS, in order to be a lightweight, beautiful alternative to the stock theme. However it is tweaked in several parts of the UI, in order to fit better to x8's device's screen.

    Screenshots:

    -themed Contacts/dialer
-themed/redesigned status bar icons (Bigger and sharper, especially on the LDPI res)
-themed Playstore (Small details in order to fit the theme)
-themed Torch (also fixed on LDPI)

    Tips to make things faster

    * You want to overclock as much as you device can handle. ICS requires more juice to run.
    * Remove / Freeze system apps that you don't need, especially DSP Manager
    * Install only apps that you need, don't bloat your system
    * Consider using a swap partition / file if you got a fast sdcard. Swap will give more memory for the hungry ICS to consume
    * Using Zram (Compcache) and KSM is also suggested as they will give you a tad more RAM for your apps. Note that they might also reduce battery life since they require CPU cycles.
    * Trebuchet is beautiful but a bit on the laggy side yet. Consider installing another launcher from the market like Apex.

Don't report bugs if you are using thirdparty tools that claim to be boosting the performance (Supercharger, RAM Manager, etc.)
