Dalingrin, nice work! Can I ask where you made the tweaks to the DSP bus & L3? I would love to bring these into Quickie for my next update. I'm working on bringing the Interactive governor in, which should bring all the performance of ondemand, with the battery life on conservative. It's a great little piece of code
Perhaps we should just work from the same source. I'd hate to duplicate all the effort.
Booted to the 950 fine but lost the gingerbread keyboard and market. 1ghz wont even get to the n screen in its bootlooping... back to 900 I guess.

The DSP and L3 bus are both in omap3-opp.h along with the normal MPU clocks. You can check my source code for the values I used. If I remember correctly, I used the omap3630/3640 values as a template. I figure we shouldn't go any higher than that chip. That said, at least one person has had Quadrant lock on the h264 benchmark which means my current DSP clocks will not work for everybody.
Thats funny, my next plan of action was the Interactive governor. Perhaps we should just work from the same source. I'd hate to duplicate all the effort.
In the future, I'd like to implement Tiny RCU and do some I/O tweaks.
thanks for this will tryGood news!
My Nook has never been able to boot a 1GHZ kernel until now. I have 1ghz running and it now boots everytime without fail. Quadrant scores are between 1115-1200. I have run Quadrant 10 times in a row and it appears completely stable.
Check OP for the link. If you haven't been able to get 1ghz kernels to run I encourage you to try this one.
About slow screen refresh. Currently, I am trying to limit the changes I make to the source to get a stable base. I will make more changes once I get the Nook clocks stable.
Did you clear your caches? Keeping your old dalvik cache can cause issues with apps when you change kernels. Especially if the kernels are coming from different toolchains and compile time options.
Also are we certain that the cpu is not in fact a 3630?

Sick! Just overclocked using the updated 1gHz setup and it works perfectly! I was also hung up at the Dalvik cache.
If I rebooted back into CW again I had no issues. Clear the Partition Cache first then the Dalvik Cache. If you get hung up, then just simply reboot and try again, it will likely work with no issues.
I guess I am lucky, but it works perfect. How do I rate or score this thing? I see all these benchmark scores.
Good to hear. Did you try the older 1ghz kernel? Did it work for you?
Most of the benchmark scores mentioned are from an app in the market called Quadrant.

Reboot Nook!
well, its been about 3hrs since I log out of latitude and Im happy to report that my nook has been deep sleeping all this time. according to cpu spy, deep sleep 95% and the 5% was shared between 300 and 600
I think this is the trick to long deep sleep. Im going to turn on live wallpaper and see what happens. its going to be interesting to see how it goes over night. so far so good.
I honestly don't know what else can be done to improve Bluetooth. As of now we've backported 2.6.35+ bluetooth drivers and software to use on the Nook. Most of the important parts are controlled by a closed source proprietary firmware. Not much I do there.
For those that use Bluetooth and are comfortable with Android and Linux, you could try different bluetooth firmware/script. This is a .bts file.
There are several versions of TI's bluetooth initialization script, called the "bts" script. You can get them here:
https://gforge.ti.com/gf/project/wilink_drivers/
The .bts files (such as TIInit_7.2.31.bts) may be placed in:
/system/etc/firmware
and will automatically be loaded when needed. Try different versions and experiment to see if some work better others. (Watch the log and dmesg to verify that the bts script is running properly)
-Merge OMAP SoC optimizations into the CM7 framework(this helps us and lays the foundation for OMAP4 support in CM7)
