Regarding the new nightly, (20/04):
It only has 4 very minor changes.
Therefore I don't feel that it is worth the hassle for a ROM update as it'll more or less be equal to V2.7.
Hope you understand.
it doesn't force close for me, the only thing i can think of is that default levels cause FC maybe. i think you should try to install 2.6, set custom levels, then install 2.7 and don't wipe data, if it works, report back.
Where?Changes like "changed Wi-Fi scan from 12.3 seconds to 12.5"? Cause I've seen "fixes" like those.
update-cm-7-20120420-NIGHTLY-olympus-signed.zip
Set supl_host_set flag in loc_eng_set_server (android_hardware_qcom_gps)
GCC 4.7 now correctly implements the two-phase name lookup rules (android_frameworks_base)
Make PhoneToggler accept the same values as are configurable in the settings. (android_packages_apps_Phone)
telephony: added support for samsungs realcall parameter needed for incall audio (android_frameworks_base)
ok well here goes nothing.
I download the apk from the changelog in the OP.
I've already explained what happens when it stops working.
I prefer the qhd keyboard over most 3rd party keyboards because they aren't designed for qhd displays.
Now when i try to install the apk it just keeps saying that the application was not installed.
Notorious, can you chime in here bro?
You know... there's a reason those batteries are under, say, $10 .
OEM batteries (original ones, such as those from Motorola itself - just pointing that out) are claimed to hold ~95% of the stated capacity, while 3rd party ones (cheap, 10x bigger batteries) hold up to 60% in some cases...
I had my own two experiences with such 3rd party batteries . 1900 mAh one couldn't charge my HTC Desire's 1400 mAh battery not even half; 2600 mAh one couldn't charge the same phone not even 60%...
Because i've basically already done just that...Not in THAT changelog... When I had the HTC Desire (yeah, I relate to those times A LOT - I miss the HTC's, though ), I used to look on the CM7-nightlies changelog page everyday. Some days, there would be like 100+ changes, and the day after, 2, like "Changed nothing" and "Added nothing" (you get the point... really useless stuff).
Guy who made the video review for MIUIv4 beta ... How about you download the ROM .zip, extract it (on your PC, yes), then go to /system/app and take the keyboard .apk? Then use Root Explorer or ES File Manager (allow root access in the Settings menu, first) to put the file in /system/app... Then reboot

have you tried booting into recovery and then go to mounts and storage. down at the bottom press mount usb mass storage. connect the usb from phone to pc. you should get either internal or external depending. you should be able to then drag and drop the .zip file to the sd card. when done, press the unmount in recovery, go back, look in internal or external sd through recovery and you should see it in one of those and thne just flash as you normally wouldHi !
My sdcard not work anymore. I want to apply the last update but the only way is to flash with moto-fastboot from windows/linux.
My question is, howto ?
I think I need a .img file but the ROM is a zipped file.
Thanks !
Because i've basically already done just that...
Like i said, it doesn't want to stick.
it keeps reverting back to stock android keyboard or when i try other methods of install, it won't install.
it's not like i don't know what im doing bro...i've been doing this for a while...check out my youtube channel.
i wouldn't ask for help from the developer unless i actually needed it.
but thanks for tying
I am a bit confused.. I 've seen posts about some bugs which can only be solved by using faux's kernel... can anybody confirm that? I Like the battery in EE and I dont get that good battery with any faux's kernels.. can any body write down what kind of bugs are in the built in kernel???
you could just make a 2.7.1 minor update that doesn't wipe system and only contains the changed files.
i would do that if i could
---------- Post added at 06:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:04 PM ----------
where can i find the sources of the EE kernel (so stock cm7 kernel i guess)
---------- Post added at 06:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:44 PM ----------
what's up with the tags btw?
---------- Post added at 06:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:51 PM ----------
and it has been discussed that software UV doesn't work(even though it made my phone freeze after an excessive amount of voltage change and i had a cm7 kernel like battery life undervolted with system tuner) but does it work if it's done in kernel?
Please read before downloading
This is an enormously STRIPPED DOWN ROM. Many features YOU need may NOT be available in the base package. If there is any loss of functionality, you'll need to flash an ADDON by clicking the link below.
Before you download, ensure your contacts are saved onto your SD card or memory card. Contact/calender sync is not included natively, you must flash the 'Sync addon.'
This is a CM7 BASED ROM. So anything that doesn't work on CM7 like Webtop will NOT work on this ROM also. Please do not request non-CM7 features.
Install Instructions:
Then choose to wipe using any one of the following two wiping methods:**Firstly make sure you have the latest RomRacer's recovery!!**
Wiping data may not be necessary with every update, but it's best to flash clean. However, if you regularly flash the updates, you'll most likely need to wipe data at some stage anyway. For clean wipe:
Moto-fastboot -w, erase system/boot/preinstall, then install from INTERNAL .ZIP!
For easy wipe:
Go into recovery, and install from INTERNAL .ZIP!
Make sure you flash the 'Lite gapps' in to get the barebone google apps.
Then, after booting, click on script manager, navigate to /system/etc and run NitroCharger.sh as ROOT and at BOOT!
It is also HIGHLY recommended to download the GPS Mod found in #2.
Then you're done.
A lot of free time and effort was put into making this ROM the best possible experience. This is my first ever ROM and attempt in developing. Please consider a small donation to help me continue developing by hitting the smiley below. Thanks!
