to gain local root, not their page about supported devices for s off
Im trying it as soon as i get home to get my wife's phone.

I think that's excellent news! With the temporary root, hopefully the developers will have a lot more options to explore and make it permanent. I'm rooting for you, guys.
I had a CliqXT back in the days and I'm really appreciated for the work adlx had, delivering an awesome rom. I hope this happens here again!
We're probably going to need some sort of exploit like revolutionary.io modded to work with our devices, my knowledge only goes as far as kernel tinkering, elsewise I would try more.....Oh, that's interesting, thanks!
How did you copy the bin to /data/local.? For me permission denied

Guys, just yesterday I managed to UNLOCK my fiancee's HTC ChaCha and then get a root (not sure if perm or temp) using the approach explained here:

Please remove the spacing above as I can't paste links just yet.
The "DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su" file supposedly managed to root the device and I did have superuser installed once I rebooted. Also managed to get ClockWorkMod Recovery installed and removed some bloatware from the device, though not 100% sure I did it correctly - will be looking into that further.
Anyone else managed to work with that?
